i do axe. like seth rogan - just too over the top and annoying. makes me wanna punch him in the face. in foxcatcher, he was not his comedic steve carell role and was utterly brilliant.
ok, got a big list to catch up on here, so here goes: The Prestige: the plot, imo, has a couple of REALLY bad flaws, one of which in particular is a dealbreaker. at least i'll compliment them for portraying Edison in an unflattering light. Memento: didn't appeal to me. Leon: The Professional: good film, altho i had an issue with what went on in the office building just before the ending scene. very unrealistic, but that doesn't take away from the movie as a whole like the thing in the prestige does. You're Next: if u like gratuitous violence, this is a winner. but the plot has nothing to make it stand out from the countless other psycho killer movies. A History of Violence: good film, altho i have an issue with the portrayal of murderers as sympathetic characters. Dead Silence: ok horror movie. not great, not terrible. Super 8: very lame sci-fi about and aimed at children. The Cabin in the Woods (the 2012 remake): terrible. they added what they felt was a clever twist to the original story. i'm pretty sure they thought the twist was clever, anyway. As Above, So Below: very creepy. well done, i thought. but, the best of the bunch i've watched lately was, hands down... Tucker and Dale vs. Evil: this movie kicks ass.
cabin in the woods is cool. then the movie goes nutty. i liked the fact they were watched but then the ending. holy crap it ruined it. never saw the original. after watching the men who built American disc where edison gets bashed, i never saw him in a negative light bf. i don't recall him being portrayed poorly in that movie. oh thought that was a long time ago.
seriously, dline, i can't remember the last movie i watched that i enjoyed as much as this one. i might have to go all the way back to american beauty for that.
everything has been done before - and there are no "creatures" in it, so i'm not sure what you're talking about. as for crap - why drag star wars into this?
really lulz? i thought in the trailer they showed creatures? must be another movie. picking on star wars again? i would rather you bash the silence of the lambs instead. haha
well, i thought u said crap, not toxic waste ya, i think maybe u mixed up trailers. i don't remember anything i'd call a creature in that one.
good ole foghorn. my favorite is when his old college buddy rhode island red shows up. the song is great. freddy the freshman, the freshest kid in town. he played the ukelele, he played the saxophone and all the pretty girlies just won't leave him alone priceton, yale and harvard, cornell, penn and brown, freddy the freshman the freshest kid in town...
yeah i did. was thinking of a movie where they're under rome and they encounter creatures hanging out down there who want to eat them...
aha, gotcha. wrong city, wrong catacombs, but an easy mistake to make foghorn rules. the more i think about it, the more i realize that pretty much all of my favorite cartoon characters are birds. with warner brothers, it's foghorn and daffy duck (definitely NOT the roadrunner). then there's woody woodpecker (walter lantz) and heckle & jeckle (terrytoons). and just because it's somewhat ontopic - hanna barbera blows several varieties of livestock.
wait one minute lulz. tom and jerry ? scooby-doo? the flintstones? quickdraw mcgraw ? and so many others. wow. that's just not right. what's next? bugs bunny sucked too? ahahaha
yes, cat - every one of the HB cartoons u mentioned blows - especially scooby doo. and yes, bugs bunny sucks ass.
thank u. at least now i understand why u like so many crappy cartoons. u should cut that out, brain damage is normally irreversible
