LAOJoe & RTTRUTH's 9th Annual "Official" Mock Draft

Discussion in 'NFL Draft' started by RTTRUTH, Apr 9, 2018.

  1. EvertonBears M.V.P. Bears

Head to Head should always trump SoS imo, no better tie breaker than head to head. JMO.

If Barkley wasn't on the board at 5 Edmunds was probably my guy. The Bears though is a really solid fit for him. To quote Brett Kollman "this guy has no idea what he is doing and he is usually the best player on the field." If you can teach the 19 year old man child how to actually play linebacker he could be this generations Urlacher.

I agree with you here. Unfortunately the NFL does not =(

  4. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

If two teams finished with the same record but one of those two teams played a weaker schedule, then (theoretically) the team with the stronger schedule should be considered the better team of the two.

It's a matter of sample size. 1 game or 16 games?

Those were the picks I expected. I will have a pick in a bit. I am preoccupied. If I don't get an offer by 2:30 I'll pick.

Good lord.... using Saquan for scale really put the massive size of Vea in perspective...

I almost wanted to pick someone else for them, since every mock on the planet says Vea. But in a division with Zeke, the Philly big back committee, and now Saquon, it just makes too much sense to grab a hulking tough guy who actually moves well to pair with Jonathan Allen and Ioannidis. Their DL should be formidable for the next few years now. What to do about the rest of their weaknesses...

Ha yeah I saw that image and was like crap who is going to block that guy... John Jerry?!? Yikes.

James and Hooker next to each other is a scary thought.

RT just couldn't not copy me. He surely tried to convince himself not to. Lol

I am just getting a new GM ready before I pick. I am doing all this at a Costco foodcourt.

That's what I was just saying to Joe. The pick took me a while because I was trying to talk myself into drafting somebody else (since Colts have Clayton Geathers and Mathias Farley for SS), but James is just too far ahead talent wise over the other guys. And after watching a lengthy interview last night with Chris Ballard I believe his goal is simply adding to a talent core. He wants "Colts" guys to grow up in the system. I've proven with this selection that I will go BPA over the filling needs approach (which I often flirt with)

Geathers likely becomes #1 backup at either spot, and we hopefully watch a healthy Malik Hooker - Derwin James become the best tandem in the NFL.

Those hot dogs might be the best value on the planet. Delicious!
