I think last year was different. There was a lot of real talent at the position. This year it's not outstanding talent, but there is good value for teams that are patient.
I'd rather wait for value and lose out at depth for the position over reaching early for talent that doesn't belong in the top rounds.
That's why sometimes you go BPA or a lesser position of need. You never should reach unless it's a QB and even then that's a different animal.
Screw BPA I'm going to have to increase my BAC to watch this Leafs game. Soft as hell. 4 goals against on 7 shots. I think I'm gonna watch the Heat vs Sixers instead.
The Buffalo Bills will listen to any reasonable offer for a late fourth. Will trade 5th & 6th this year, and can offer future pick.
I took Hines in this draft for the same reasons that I took him in the GMO. He's a good system fit (outside zone scheme) for us as a #3 RB (speedster who can catch), and he has PR/KR experience. For the last several seasons, we've carried an extra WR on the roster and active 53-man list just for PR/KR duty. If Hines can win that PR/KR role while also serving as the #3 RB, it frees up an extra roster/active list spot.
You son of a ?!+•# That kid might be the WR steal of this draft. I expected him to fall 7 more spots.
