Well the good news is the two early picks tomorrow are morning guys anyways. @Lyman otc @Campbell on deck @RicoL8 in the hole
I'll have Jacksonville's pick up before I pick. Raiders pick could be up for trade so if you are interested just send me a message.
The Tennessee Titans were between a couple guys here but finally settled on: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA A new QB for the offense and the defense to lay the foundations of the future. Schwesinger is just solid in everything that he does and that’s what the Titans need right now. Players who will come in from day one who will be leaders, put in the work everyday, and even if they may not be top top tier special won’t be busts either.
I'm the Raiders on the clock. I'm going to give it a bit of time for possible offers while I zero in on my target if I stand pat.
@RTTRUTH on deck. My pick should be coming by 8:30 unless someone really compels me to trade back. It feels like a huge mistake to trade back when a main target after my first pick is available.
I just couldn't pass on him. I almost took Will Johnson in the first but I couldn't pass on Jeanty as it is the absolute biggest need that only a game-changer can have a chance at instantly fixing and made too much sense for the Raiders. Hairston was thus pencilled in for this round and most of my alternatives at multiple positions are gone.
I think your Raiders picks are perfect. The Jeanty pick was not only perfect, but as you said, necessary. The CB pick in round 2 of Hairston is also perfect, in my opinion. The Raiders over the past few seasons are notoriously giving up a boat load of late scoring drives which sunk them multiple times. If they can stop the late comebacks they've been giving up, it would go a long way in being more competitive.
This would be a costly trade if they do. I think they would think either pick Johnson and get the top RB available in the second round (great RB class help that) or pick Jeanty. Spytek is a Michigan guy just like Brady, I bet they will be interested on him, but Jeanty could be too good to pass up.
That's why I said plan. They'd need to make it work. It's a great RB class but the Raiders don't need a system fit or a complement; they need a guy that can be the system. In the end I "reached" on RB now thinking I wouldn't have to reach on CB later or pass on early RB in general.
I just knew the Chiefs were likely going OL. Need and there were some good options available which made the trade down make sense and the only one to go since was Simmons.
Well, at this spot in the draft, I can say I am very happy I made the trade to move up for the QB. IF they are in love with Sanders, it was a necessary move. This second round pick, I was worried there would be someone staring me in the face that would make me regret it and frankly, I don't see any awesome value picks here, especially at a position of need. I think everyone is maximizing the picks and the guys are going to the right teams and at or near the right spot for them grade wise. This is kinda fun sitting back, with skin in the game still, but not worrying about who I need to grab for the Browns.
