Falcons draft recap: 2022 1st rounder 2022 3rd rounder 2022 3rd rounder 2023 2nd rounder and some guys.
Always next year (i guess), or the year after apparently....I can't say I'm impressed much, especially considering the offers you had on the table. Could've majorly improve the team right now, but that's just my take. I'm sure 2023 ATL will be legit .
You know I'm just bustin your balls @Torgo.....I like tthe ATL plan. It's ALWAYS one of the more "thought out" plans in these drafts....
Actually, there were two decisions that I could have done very differently. It was a question of the role-playing thing - do I go along with what the real team seems to be doing, or do I undo what they have already done and put my own stamp on the roster? The real team recently signed Mark Davis and Cordarelle Patterson at RB, and they already have developing prospects Qadree Ollison and speedster Tony Brooks-James plus fullback Keith Smith. At TE, they traded for Lee Smith and added developing prospect Ryan Becker to go along with Hayden Hurst and Jaeden Graham. I'm going along with what the real team is doing, so I skipped the RB and TE positions with the early picks and went with defense instead. If I had decided to go the other direction, throw out what they've done (ignoring the cap ramifications) and put my own stamp on the roster, without a doubt I stand pat at 1(28) and take Travis Etienne and then take Hunter Long at 3(31). Would that have been better? Hard to say. It would have "sounded" better and I'd probably be drawing praise for instantly rebuilding the offense. But the flip side is I'd be neglecting the defense, which needs more of an overhaul than the offense. Unfortunately you can't do everything.
Probably also should have mentioned the players that I did take rather than just saying "and some guys". But that would have killed the joke.
