Well I’m hopeful I’ll be happy about that trade by the time 7(21) comes OTC. As long as either of the two names I had targeted for 6(18) makes it to 7(1) it’s a win
1) Simmons 2/3) Queen/Murray 4) Baun 5) Willie Gay Jr. I've actually been back and forth on Queen/Murray. I probably have Queen ahead by a hair but I flip flop. Baun is my clear #4 and then I got a bit of a drop and a handful of other guys. So I got Willie Gay Jr. at the top of those guys.
The name I would have taken with my second pick late in the 4th is still there. Normally I wouldn't sweat out a sixth round pick like this, but wow, trading down that far and still getting my guy would be pretty sweet.
Philadelphia Eagles 1(9) CeeDee Lamb, WR - Oklahoma 2(21) Antoine Winfield Jr., S - Minnesota 4(6) Jonah Jackson, G - Ohio State 4(18) Larrell Murchison, DL - North Carolina State 4(40) Darrynton Evans, RB - Appalachian State 6(1) Evan Weaver, LB - California 6(11) Anthony Gordon, QB - Washington State Eagles are done until UDFA. I wasn't just position shopping, it just worked out that way. Lamb is a much needed weapon for Wentz. Winfield comes in competing opposite McLeod for that 2nd safety spot although the team will play 3 safeties often and it's a move looking into future years as well. Jackson is depth at guard or center and would be groomed to replace Jason Kelce at C or Isaac Suemalo at G if he moves to C himself. I love Murchison. His motor is something and he has all the different skills you want and with a bit of grooming he could be a force. Evan Weaver is a change of pace back. I wasn't sure if I was going to take one but it just worked out here. Weaver is an underrated LB IMO. I believe I took him in the 4th in the GMO. Anthony Gordon is a likely upgrade at #3 QB over Kyle Lauletta and will have a chance to fight for a higher spot if Nate Sudfeld has a setback again.
Well if we included zone schemes and blah blah blah.... Not time to get technical. Who are your dogs? I'm not going to hold you to the fire. lol!
Top 5 Long Snappers 1. Blake Ferguson 2. Steve Wirtel 3. Geron Eatherly 4. Michael Pifer 5. Rex Sunahara
Nothing wrong with "just position shopping", especially if the team is prone to that needs-based approach.
