@Tim what did I tell you about turning down the thermostat from 70 to 40. Stop it. I woke up to snow in April.

 

Yeah, I had the dog out yesterday standing in the sunshine with snow falling all around me.

End of March/Beginning of April makes for some interesting weather in NWPA.

 

Not just NW but I am on the Allegheny/Washington county border with snow falling. Lol

 

I live in the city where THE defining feature is the Niagara Escarpment. When we say downtown we sometimes mean "downtown" and sometimes mean "down the mountain". We have upper versions of many streets which do not connect via "mountain accesses" but simply continue if you went straight through ignoring elevation. Half the city sits a quarter of a kilometre above the other half which means we got spring showers where I live and my parents' friends reported snow. Sometimes it's a winter wonderland in half the city and the other half is bone dry because snow stays longer "up the mountain".

 

I just noticed that the internet does a REALLY shitty job of showing this on the internet. There are historical pictures where the top is all farmland and empty plots and of skyline views taken from the top looking down but not a single good one from below looking up. When I get a chance I'll take a couple pics.

 

Just one of those years I guess. We got a good dump 2 days ago and a bit more last night.
Of course all real Albertans consider it a badge of honour to survive the wild and unpredictable bouts of weather here.

You can often hear people invoke the clíche “if you don’t like the weather, just wait 15 minutes.”

 

Ours is more like if you don't like the weather, just drive 15 minutes.

 

Back to the draft, I'm pretty pleased on how sign ups went this year. It was very smooth for the most part. Almost everyone got their first pick of teams too.

 

At this point teams are locked in but if a regular comes in to join before we start we reserve the right to swap some teams up. That mainly means @Quew777 as he's been in since the CBS days.

 

Plus the ideal goal is true fans of the teams and Quew is Detroit through and through. That said at this point we’ve heard nothing from him and I’m not really expecting a last minute appearance

 

Well . . . It looks like I snuck in through the back door and will be representing the Redskins.

I'm not normally a big fan of trading and an even less fan of bickering but I might be persuaded into trading down out of the #2 pick. Trading doesn't open until Noon on Sunday so you have almost 48 hours to put together your best shot and PM me.

Who knows? Someone might make me an offer I can't refuse.

 

I’m in the same boat Lyman. I have no issue moving up or down depending on the offer.

If anyone wouldn't mind that doesn't have a second team already, I'd appreciate them taking the Texans for me. I'm cool with the Jets. Moving into finals for school, so only one team would work better for me.

I can take a second team if needed. Mainly because I only have 7 picks anyway. If needed.
