I graduated a quarter early from Norcross, I was 17 at the time. My dad said that I was going to go to school, so guess where I went. You got it right Dekalb Community College. Don’t remember much from that three months except making friends playing pool and drinking beer all day while at school. 1982 is the year

Later they dropped the "Community" from the name and were simply DeKalb College for a long, long time. They added a campus in Gwinnett, and I think they passed Georgia Tech to become the third largest college in the state. I don't know the details, but for whatever reason they became "Georgia Perimeter College" for a while, started having problems after that, and ended up being absorbed into Georgia State. Before they built the north campus (the one in Dunwoody), there were fig bushes growing wild on that land. My parents either dug up or took cuttings of some of those figs before they were bulldozed. For decades they had these massive bushes growing by their house (they were amazing gardeners), and they told me that those bushes originally came from the land that became DeKalb College.
Hey guys. I'm on now. I was up late and then got woken up 5 times for dumb shit. "Look we got new messages for the rental you listed last night". The date was 1-week + ago. No we didn't. I'll get the board updated soon.
Cub foods on Jimmy Carter Blvd used to be a big wooded area that my friends and myself used to hang out and party in. In fact That area in Norcross didn’t have very much development at all. Now it’s just endless rows of businesses and strip malls. The school I attended was tore down and a monster multiple story school is there now. High school
