Just remember that when Haskins ascends past him in the NFL QB rankings... I have no doubt that's happening.
Speaking about Oakland, here is their draft so far: 1(2) Nick Bosa: DE - Ohio State 1(24) Noah Fant: TE - Iowa 1(27) Josh Jacobs: RB - Alabama 2(27) Chauncey Gardner-Johnson: DB - Florida 4(27) Bobby Okereke: LB - Stanford 6(3) Brett Rypien: QB - Boise State How does that differ from their initial picks? Had 1(4) instead of 1(2) Had 2(3) instead of 2(27) but if I stuck with DB I was taking him anyways. Had 4(4) instead of 4(27) but actually same target Had 5(2) instead of 6(3) but was going QB and for the Raiders I had my eye on Rypien anyways. My 7th rounders are the same. So all in all from my point of view it went really well for the Raiders.
I was SO close to taking Dawson Knox instead of Yodny for N.O. It was a tough call. I'm high on both prospects....I think Tim swiped Knox with like the very next pick.
I'll nominate my 2(13) for the second round list: 2(13) = 2020 3rd round pick, another 2020 3rd round pick, Sean Bunting, 2020 4th round pick, Mecole Hardman.
The one time they did win it all it was defense. So yeah, I guess TB being TB. On that note, my favourite NFL quote of all time: forget the coaches name. It was 70's or 80's. They were bad. Post game- Reporter: How do you feel about the execution of your offense? Head Coach: I'm all for it! LMAO!!!
He described the team's performance in another game: "We didn't block very well, but we made up for it by not tackling."
That was a good deal. Trading down twice near each other was key as your surplus is about the value of a mid-late 3rd, assuming both are mid-late. Eagles and Browns so It's about right.
If there was ever a coach that I would have liked to sit down and have a beer with, I think either of the John M's would have been great. McKay or Madden...
Rich McKay would likely be the GM that I'd most like to sit down and have lunch with. The "accidental" thing is that he never intended to become a GM. He was Tampa's legal counsel. They didn't have a GM when owner Hugh Culverhouse passed away. As the team's legal counsel, the Culverhouse estate appointed him GM just to get things in order so they could sell the team. But he decided that as long as he was going to fill that role, he would do it right. The Glazers liked what he was doing and kept him.
