I tend to agree with, LAOJoe… Jameis is not the most reliable in my opinion and his record indicates that. I think if Tampa wants to be real serious at the QB position, Kyler is a great move for them. Fitzpatrick had a nice run and then , BOOM... brick wall. They need consistency and a young fresh start might be key.
IMO they brought Arians in to work with Winston. They will give him another chance and if Arians can’t get the most out of him they’ll look to 2020 with a better QB class. Odds are they will have an early pick next year if Winston doesn’t improve any way.

Not saying I disagree, definitely a good move for them I don’t like Winston, but IMO they give him one more year
Interesting. I didn't see that coming. Thought they were targeting a different QB, after I saw the trade......Aggressive move for Tampa. I've never been a big fan of Winston.
This. Licht drafted Jameis so it’s not really a regime change. Licht hired Arians to fix Jameis and justify his pick status and the guaranteed $21MM he gave him for this year, not to reboot. I could see them making this deal but to fill their glaring front seven needs, not to create a QB controversy.
Well I’m with the others that Licht might be ready to move on too. Jameis has proven nothing. That said, quite possible real team does ride with Winston. And it will fail
I mean at least Arians has a history of helping with that particular issue. But Yeah... Winston is not exactly the high character hard worker type. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they moved on sooner rather than later.
Seems RT had to leave right when he got the trade so I'll post it. 49ers Trade 1(2) 3(3) 6(3) Raiders Trade 1(4) 2(3) 5(2)
