And just think Kap brought us all together. he's a damn humanitarian! lol. my nephew is active military, so if he didn't have an issue with kneeling etc, it told me how i was feeling was wrong an, blinded and misguided. it's still my right to feel that way, but i never served in the military and it's all on how we express ourselves, so it got me thinking. every election - people put those signs on their lawns saying who they voted for etc. that's their way of expressing who they believe in for the next political term. that's their way of expressing themselves. nothing wrong with that. it's all our personal beliefs and expressionism. kap is doing this his way and there's certainly nothing wrong with that.

https://sports.yahoo.com/british-so...colin-kaepernick-james-mcclean-002555519.html best sentence in this article - "kap inspired a movement that still continues today." right on!
I respect you and your nephews opinion. I served almost 9 years active duty and find it completely offensive. The NFL has the choice to allow or not allow the protestations that occur on the sidelines. There is no "1st amendment right" on the sidelines of an NFL game. If every single player wanted to donate their "free" time and space to protest, promote anything, they should. The NFL is reaping what they sow now. They should have made " the shield" an apolitical environment, but they are afraid to be labeled racists or bigots.
They chose to allow it. How exactly do you know the NFL's motivation behind allowing the protests? They could be afraid to be labeled racists or bigots, or they could agree entirely with it. How did you find out their true reason?
It is a very divisive issue in the country. The NFL has made a point to refrain from any and all such expressions before. If the NFL did completely agree with it they would act accordingly, but they don't. Anything the NFL is "completely" behind they make it a priority.
I think Kaep looked like a hero to many well before this year started. This is going to get uglier than better in the future. I think Trump threw gasoline on this fire the NFL was hoping would flame out. IMHO.
There's a war brewing on the Korean peninsula....a healthcare battle in Washington.....and the POTUS rather spend time talking about players kneeling during a song. Forgive me if I see that as silly.
I can't believe that they are now making what Kaep did look good. I really am sick of this national anthem shit that is going on and now it will only get worse.
I am glad the Steeler's have said, "We are not going to be political and will stay in the locker room." No BS. Just football. Like it's supposed to be.
Isn't staying in the locker room instead of standing on the field for the anthem a political statement? Especially considering its being reported they are doing it in response to the President's comments?
I read Tomlin's words, thanks. NFL rules don't allow for teams to stay in the locker room during the anthem, to my knowledge. So I'm confused how you can interpret this as being non political.
