If you read Tomlin's words then you know I am correct. Thank You for trying to pivot to another point.
Staying off the field in an attempt to stay away from politics is making a political statement whether you like it or not. I like what Tomlin and the team did....but it's still political
my brother in law, who is a lifelong Steelers fan, and is 55 years old, is pissed at what they did today. this goes back to this past week. kap had every right to do what he did. however, some Americans view kneeling as disrespectful and the National Anthem is more than just a song. Steelers had every right to do what they did as well. when he texted me what they did, i didn't know it happened and as a proud American, he said the Steelers are dead to him for what they did. that tells me he sees what they did besides Alejandro Villanueva, as wrong. That's his opinion, not fact, but he loves the Steelers and has for decades. to be that mad at what they did by not coming out of the tunnel for the anthem shows people take it seriously. some don't, but as others team took knees together today, there's a lot of pissed off people.
oh and MLB has their first player that took a knee this weekend. He plays for Oakland A's and his name is Bruce Maxwell.
If you read Tomlin's words then you know I am correct. Thank You for trying to pivot to another point. And what political statement did they make?
You're right Ignoring the national anthem completely isn't a statement at all How could i be so silly?
