Josh Gordon won't play Sunday due to hamstring injury

That's not how it works in my workplace. We often disagree on how we should handle things but once we come to a decision WE PUT ON A UNITED FRONT and stand behind the decision. No finger pointing.

It sounds illogical to me to assume that they were all in agreement in how to handle Gordon. And already we're hearing that Dorsey was the guy that finally put his foot down and said, "No more!"

Everything I saw on Hard Knocks with "the Eagle has landed comment" and the way he handled Callaway tells me where Hue stood in the equation.

Of course this is just my opinion and I could be wrong just like although I respect your opinion you could also be wrong.

What leads you to believe the organization wasn't united when it came to Gordan?

What did you expect Jackson to say when Gordan finally showed up ? "Well, the dopehead is here"?

What makes you think that Jackson doesn't agree with Dorsey's alleged "no more" comment?

With Calloway's history, exactly what was wrong with putting him (Calloway) on notice for lying?

This isn't about what I believe. It's about you defending Hue by saying they he was marching the company beat.

    1. You can't possibly know that.

    2. There's a difference between supporting someone and putting them on a pedestal. Hue showed his hand on hard knocks. The rest of the organization didn't.

Maybe they were all in lock step agreement about the kid. I can't know for sure. But Dorsey's statement today tells me otherwise. I understand if you see it differently. Neither of us can be sure.

Really Lym? You don't see the degree of separation between dope head and leader of the Free world?

I don't know how Jackson feels now. I only know how he felt about the guy he has supported for the last 30 months, the guy he lobbied Goodell to allow to remain with the team during his suspension last year who then turned around and missed the entire training camp. He thought that guy was the savior of the franchise.

The lie was just part of it, although in my opinion it was a significant part. The bottom line is the kid was out at 2am, driving without a license with weed in the car and then tried to hide it from his coaches, even when they recognized something was wrong and tried to get him to open up about what was bothering him.

His punishment? He got to play more than anyone else. He was running with the first team the next day.

That kid should have been benched, demoted, fined, publicly embarrassed or worse.

Careful... It wasn't weed in the car, it was two spent roaches... He immediately took a drug test and passed with no indication of any drugs/alcohol/etc. in his system or otherwise. Should he have been driving without a license, obviously not, even if it was a misunderstanding and he now has one. Should he have been out at 2am, probably not, but considering he was given testing for drugs and alcohol, it probably is more innocent than it looks. Not divulging, being a rookie in his first training camp is much different than hiding it from them...but I digress, he needs to stay clean or he needs to go. We can't keep dealing with the distractions.

Did you think his "punishment" was appropriate?

Also hadn't seen he was immediately tested. Is that assumed?

I didn't at first, but after hearing some people talk about it, I did think it was appropriate.

And, no, it was reported that he took a test and passed.

Josh Gordan has been traded to the Patriots for a conditional 2019 5th round pick.

I suspect he will need to pick a new jersey number.

OK, that's that...We can move on from Josh Gordon and stop wondering, when, if, how much he will play in any given game, week, season, year...or if at all. He's Bill's project now.

I wish him the best personally, but that is my last word on Josh Gordon.

    It gets better . . .

The player cut by the Patriots to make room for Gordan ???

    Corey Coleman. :point:

Yeah I figured Coleman would be cut as soon as I heard about the deal...

That's eight trades we've made with New England in the last few years....Gotta be a record of some sort.
