Halftime observations -

As I mentioned in the beginning of this thread-

1. No turnovers
2. Stop the run (including Bortles)

They’ve done neither hence ur 2 TD deficit

 

Need to play mistake free football in 5he second half

 

Regardless of the outcome people who think the jags cant win it all are football idiots. Sure their qb is average at best but when you have a great d (that can score points on its own) and a running game you can win anywhere agaianst anyone.

I tried to tell Demo that Bortles was underrated

Haley isn't getting dominated at the point of attack like our D-line is today.
Haley didn't audible into a toss sweep (with 6 seconds left) basically with a 3wr bunch set to lead block vs a very fast and penetrating defense.
Haley didn't decide to throw an out-route from the far hash to a very well covered TE on the INT.
Haley didn't decide to throw it to a TE not even looking back for the ball a play one play...........before...............holding it forever in the pocket vs a great pass rush/defense instead of throwing it or running for a few yards.

The coaches cannot overcome players being outplayed and our QB not playing well......again. At half we're down 14. How many points do they have off of turnovers?............14. Hmmm.........so what would it be if we simply didn't turn the ball over? Maybe not tied, but probably a one-score deficit at worst. Big difference.

The D needs to play better (especially up front), but they are limited due to lack of playmakers in the middle and the D-line (Dupree/Tuitt/Heyward/Hargrave especially) not getting it done vs the run. But we KNEW this game............as most others in the playoffs........had to be more on the backs of the offense. Just like the entire first half of the season, they have NOT held up their end of the bargain.
