Concerned about Heyward.....if anyone gets any information please post. I don't think he's ever miss any games but this seems like he will now because of the way they describe the hamstring injury initially. ...so these guys play really hard and so that's great but lots injuries because of it. Hope Sammy Coates his hand is cool. Don't know how many stitches he got. let's see who else went down Jones again. Wrist injury hope it's not the one that had major problems years ago. Does anybody know? And then Thomas Who seems to have embraced his role a special team stand out. Hopefully we get all these guys back soon. And hopefully a lot of them that we had lost are coming back.Love our team it's like Christmas morning on Sunday that's how I like it

Jean posted in another thread that he's getting an MRI today and judging by Heyward's reactions he might miss some time.

  3. Heyward is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with the hamstring injury.

    Updates Per Steelers Depot

[del]No word onHeywardtoday he was not made available to the press.[/del]

Golden says that were yesterdays game a playoff game he could have played which seems to indicate eh will be back for the Dolphins game.

Nix is also hopeful that he will make his debut in the dolphins game.

Green is says he is back to a full weight room workout and is still targeting week 7 as a return (while he may be able to run deeper routes than James he certainly cannot provide a better Red Zone Target than James). Who do they move to make room for him?

As of Monday Sazier says he is still rehabbing his knee

We should get word on Heyward tomorrow at Tomlin's Tuesday presser.

While I was typing this and posting it in the wrong thread they updated Hewyard.

With the exception of Nix and Heyward leave them on the bench.

Tomlin briefly addressed this during today's presser following a good question from Chris Adamski.

It was also interesting to hear him talk about some new looks the Jets used with Safarian-Jenkins (or whatever that TEs name is) and how the defense had to adjust on the fly.

I also didn't realize that the Dolphins new DC is the former secondary coach from the Bengals. Evidently, the Dolphins defense is structured like the Bengals. I hope to see Bell running lots of counters right at Wake and Williams on the ends. Also, the Steelers tend to throw to their TEs more against the Bengals vs. other teams....so that's something to look for.

Le'Veon Bell will be running against the NFL's worst run defense through five weeks. Where he did damage through the air against the Jets, I expect he'll do damage on the ground against the Dolphins. It would be a terrific change of pace from the aerial shellacking the Steelers gave the Chiefs and Jets. Ben may throw a little more than 30 passes (low number for him) in a fast-moving game.

I know Tomlin will not say exactly in the game where it happened because he doesnt play that game (the excuse game) but its possible this had quite a bit to do with some of those drops Coats had. Yes the knock on him coming out was that he sometimes drops passes but you add in a fractured finger and a laceration and that is not going to help the situation.

    Bunch of China dolls....

  12. Out for the Patriots game:

    M. Gilbert
    Shamarko Thomas
    Cody Wallace

Looks like we may see Shazier.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully Ben, Wallace, Heyward and Gilbert can get back after the bye week maybe?

Wheaton just needs to be gone. He was never very good and he is injured a lot.

Didn't know Deangelo was hurt. What's up there?

Williams sprained his knee last week. I think its a similar injury to Shazier's...minor MCL sprain. Week to week kinda thing.

A lot of people said the same about Emmanuel Sanders...

True. It's a valid comparison, really.

Looks like we'll have a ton of guys back.

Noteables that will not be back:

Backup Center / Lineman - Cody Wallace (still a little ways to go with knee issue)
Running Back - DeAngelo Williams (apparently had a setback in last practice)

IR Update - Only One Guy Per Year Can Come Back Off Of IR

Senquez Golsen - Don't know if they anticipate him back by end of November but there had been rumors

Bud Dupree said back in October he is nowhere near being ready to resume any kind of football activities

I think the smart money is on Golsen coming back off of IR and not Dupree

Ryan Harris - It was interesting to me that the Steelers got him in offseason in part because he had played in something like 67 consecutive game without injury (which is pretty impressive at offensive tackle). As luck would have it he got hurt pretty much right away (some kind of serious shin injury) when he came in for us due to Gilbert's injury.

  18. Dupree may play vs Dallas from what I read today. Also, expect Cody Wallace to IR when Green gets activated.

Hope the boys join me the sincere desire to peckerslap deez Ravens in their house. Leave no bloomin doubt who owns this division. Even though he missed some games, the bye was probably good for the Bell cow

Wow thanks for the info. I hadn't seen that. Sounds good. Hope he is fully healthy if so. We can really use someone to get to the QB.
