I'm seeing that AB missed a practice yesterday. J2S2 is back though. Was going thru NFL.com and found this. A comparison of Antonio Brown to Jerry Rice, Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson thru their first 112 games. Its always a good day to be a Steelers fan! http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-video...rown-vs-top-WRs-of-all-time-through-112-games
Did they put Shazier on IR yet and I just missed it? He’s done for at least this year. With him, of course football is secondary, but I’m sure they could use a healthy body, lots of bumps and bruises and that number is only going to rise against the Ravens
Maybe they're holding out some slim hope but I can't see that happening. I could be wrong but I don't think JuJu counts as a roster spot right now so they can wait until Monday to decide what to do
I suppose they’ll just wait till Monday when Juju is reinstated...that makes sense now that I think about it
I do not understand why people are in a hurry to add Matakavich's name to the platoon of players attempting to stand in for Mr. Shazier, who recently began his PT by the way, which is awesome. A guy who is knocked for lack of speed trying to replace the fastest LB in the league? I'll give Spence another week to get his football legs back, and use more of Fort. Haden was limited in practice yestetrday, uncertain of his status today. Sensabaugh hasn't practiced this week so he's likely unavailable. How's this for an idea: Put Brian Allen on Gronkowski like they did with Cortez Allen that last time they beat Brady. Big on Big who can match speed and get make some plays Mr Glass aka Vance McDonald has failed to practice up to this point, so after finally getting back on the field and teasing us with his potential, he's back in the tub. It's been a very frustrating 2 years for the TE position.
If Matakavich is healthy, he will be solid I think. Nobody can really replace Shazier but that can be good (staying in gaps) as well as bad (lack of freelancing and big play). I like your idea regarding B. Allen. Man play doesn’t require excessive amounts of playbook knowledge and unanticipated innovation may be required to beat the Patriots. If they come out in soft zones I may throw my tv in the garbage can by halftime.
