GMs do set coaches up to fail. Angelo did it to Jauron. I don’t think that’s why he signed Glennon...but I would bet heavily that Pace didn’t choose Fox and would like to get his own guy. Hopefully...a young coach that knows how to handle a young QB.
If Pace wanted to bring in his own guy, as I said earlier, he would have done it last year prior to drafting a QB and coming off the worst season in franchise history. Let's do a gut check: the debate we're having is whether Pace is a puppet of ownership with little authority on football operations or whether he's only an incompetent GM. Great.
Very believable. Completely unbelievable. Glennon was the FA component of Pace's "two bites at the cherry" approach to addressing the QB position, nothing more. 1- Pace isn't smart enough to come up with that. 2- He def isn't cutthroat enough.
It would prob be much quicker to ask who thinks he does have a plan. Hell ive got a 2year old thread somewhere on that very subject. Right from the get go it seemed like there was no discernible plan with Pace. At best there was the knowledge that he had a min of multiple years(possibly4 maybe even 5) and that he had to make the team good by then. That is literally as deep as Pace's plan goes imo. Emery with Lovie?
