Sorry anyone waiting. The beer did play a small role in my lack of awareness. Gotta plead ignorance here :SEP:

No worries, it was a slow day all around.

  3. Torgo M.V.P. Manager Falcons

I think we're done for a while anyway.

Reminder for mods: 6(26) should be ATL pick. 7(26) was traded for the WR coach, not 6(26).

Reminder for everyone: once that's sorted out, 6(26) is available for trade. Seeking future 5th.

Ya ya Torgo. All fixed. lol

So that was a rough day. Let's give until 10am for any autos tomorrow and then continue like normal once we auto if we have to.

Rams select LB Jake Cichy, Wisconsin

That concludes the Rams draft, which was as follows:

    2.5 CB Isaiah Oliver
    2.27 OT Brian O'Neill
    3.23 LB Shaquem Griffin
    5.23 OL Geron Christian
    6.20 LB Jake Cichy

I also acquired Austin Ekeler for 6.23.

All in all, I'm delighted with that. Very much BPA, although Christian is the only one who I don't really have much of a plan for (beyond "hey, you can never have too many linemen"). I got two guys I had a first round grade on in the second, a guy I had a 2nd round grade on in the 3rd and two guys I had 3rd round grades on in the 5th and 6th. Twice (at 2.05 and 5.23) I was agonising between 2 guys and managed to get the other guy with my next pick.

Btw, if you've not watched Cichy, watch his game v Iowa. He's basically what people say Josey Jewell is (which I don't see in Jewell's case) - a step slow but great instincts. His injury history (torn pec and torn ACL) limited him to 20 games in college (missed the back half of 2016 and all of 2017). Without those injuries I think he might have got up into the second round.

There are still a couple of guys I like, so I would be willing to trade back into the draft, but only with a very low value asset (next year's 7th or Tavon Austin, basically!). So i imagine that no one will be interested in that deal until they have completely exhausted their draft board and there isn't even anyone left with a funny name.

It went fairly smooth for the Chargers in this one. Sometimes ya have those drafts when ya just can't catch a break. Glad it wasn't like that. Staying patient in the first two rounds was key, and I feel it really paid off. It's always tempting to move up for me in the early going, but those moves can be costly....The first pick threw me for a loop. I was really surprised to see Ward still sitting there, and considering I had traded away Verrett earlier, that was a no brainer pick...The hardest part was waiting for pick 2.16. Okorofor was the target, but when the OT's starting coming off the board in the early 2nd rd, I figured he was never gonna get to me....I starting moving around the board in round three. Made a deal with Tampa to move up from 3(20) to 3(5). There were two players I would have been happy with, and I decided to go with Okoronkwo. The Ironic thing is, just a few picks later, Tampa moved back up from 3(20) to snag the other guy I was contemplating, Josh Sweat...
