G.M.O. - 2018 NFL Draft

A bit of irony having a fill-in GM with a team whose owner just passed away: that's how Rich McKay became GM of the Buccaneers. He was actually the team's legal counsel. When owner Hugh Culverhouse passed away, the Culverhouse estate had him take on the GM role specifically to get things ready for the sale of the team to the Glazer family.

He did well enough at it that the Glazers kept him on, and he built their Superbowl roster.

 

Walton was my alternate RB choice if someone had taken Nyheim Hines ahead of me.

 

I'll admit, he wasn't really on my radar that high until the combine., but he looked real good.

edit: btw: Hines was next on my RB rating list

 

Richard Sherman already took him 3rd round.

 

The SEATTLE SEAHAWKS have fired their entire staff.

For what its worth, IMO that was a better pick anyway.

We're thinking alike then. I chose Hines ahead of him because of the KR potential. Having the #3 RB handle KR/PR duties instead of yet another WR would free up a roster spot plus a spot on the 46-man active roster.

Amusing side note... I resigned my backup RB Terron Ward on the cheap earlier. Last night I drafted Nyheim Hines and project him as the new #3. So this morning when I put together a roster/depth chart to make sure my roster is complete, the depth at RB behind Freeman and Coleman now reads HINES WARD.
