G.M.O. - 2018 NFL Draft

This is where my problem with having a rule like this comes in...

Instead of posting a pick for the Pats that would immediately open up the board to start drafting again, we now have to wait until just before 9:30 for the Bengals to pick.

It forces us to drag out two full picks.

 

That was when times were all different. One clock was slow and it got reported like crazy.

Whether it comes to autoing, delaying, or skipping altogether I hate them all and year to year and mock to mock its always a different one that pisses me off most, assuming we get around to using multiple types of "solutions".

 

I had kind of made my mind up on him not being able to separate before that 40, but that number combined with poor explosion numbers (vert and broad) confirmed the tape.

 

So I traded this set of picks to the Broncos:

3(14)
3(22)
6(35)

After trades with the Broncos and Eagles it became this:

2(8) DJ Moore, WR - Maryland
3(33) Donte Jackson, WR - LSU
4(30)
5(32)
6(39)
DT - Destiny Vaeao
RB - Wendell Smallwood

So far I think it worked out to my satisfaction.

 

Well, if SPress doesn't make it back in time he's getting Luke Falk.

I'm not arguing. I always thought Jerry Rice was a track star when I was young. He seemed like the fastest guy in the league...I remember losing a bet, because somebody informed me he ran a slow 40, and I didn't believe it. lol!

I would have taken Donte Jackson at 3(14) so I am glad to have still gotten him after the trades. So it feels like my late 3rd became a 4th and 5th to trade up for Moore.

 

If I am Luke Falk I am hoping and praying that's where I wind up.

 

I dunno. Might still be a rookie cycle too soon lol. Who knows where Jimmy is if he never got field time.

 

3rd rounders still get 4 year deals right? A 40 year old Tom Brady has to miss a game or 2 for the next couple of years... Just enough for Falk to show himself off.

 

Who knows lol.

 

Simple remedy for AWOL picks:

If a GM misses a pick in the pre-determined time frame for that specific pick, he forfeits that pick and is "awarded" a comp pick at the end of the round in which he missed the pick. In the cases where NFL specified comp picks are already at the end of that round, the make-up pick would follow the already established comp picks.

If the AWOL owner misses the make-up pick, he's just shit out of luck.
