BobbyLu had a .786 save % tonite... and WON (5-3). luckily for him, the opponent was the Buffalo Sabres. the mighty Sabres fired off a blistering 14 shots the entire game. 3 of them went in. not bad shooting (for one period worth of work).

using some individual's theory on shooting% equating to snipeability this begs the question, does this make the Sabres snipers?

 

14 SOG was actually a 40% improvement over the 10 SOG the offensively-challenged Sabres had in two other games this season. I don't know if that's a "fun" stat, but Ted Nolan can call Sat.'s game "progress".

Olli Jokkinen has played 1222 games, he's played for 10 different teams going back 18 years, he's only played in 6 playoff games.

Olli's a loser as a hockey player, how do you tell your grandkids you played all those games and only 6 in the playoffs.

 

The guy has a silver and a pair of bronze and 12 olympic goals on the biggest stage for his country.
Roenick has 4 goals in the olympics and only a silver and a mountain of career disappointment for example.

 

I meant nhl, olympics are more to do with that safe system they play, and the goalies that come out of their country.
