Jets Nikolaj Ehlers is just the 3rd rookie in franchise history with a hat trick & first since Kamil Piros in 2003 with Thrashers.

This is where I get real confused. Thrasher stats count as jet stats, original jets team too, is that even the wha? If the thrashers stats count as jets stats, do yotes stats count as jets stats.

    No, they're two distinct franchises.

The WPG Jets count as NHL stats since they joined the league in 1980, and those stats count for the Yotes franchise records.
The Atlanta Thrashers joined the NHL as an expansion team in the 90's and the stats while in ATL count for the WPG's replacement team.

Ok, I guess that makes some sense, although old jets fans don't want anything to do with the yotes. I guess that means the nords won the cup lol.

Of course WPG fans want nothing to do with the Yotes, because that franchise spurned them. Arizona fans, however, like having more than 20 years of franchise history.

The Atlanta Flames stats count for the Calgary Flames; Hartford - Carolina, ditto. The Nords never won a SC, but the franchise did, but not until they scored with Lindros and then absconded to Denver.

You're right about the avs, when they won the cup they weren't anywhere near the chateau frontenac.

Jagr is only the 2nd player to record 200pts after the age of 40. (Howe)

There's a five team cluster(F!) at the bottom of the league standings.

Buffalo is one of them with 47 points. But this is good news: if the Sabres get 8 over the last 29 they'll beat last season's total. I predict they'll have that before the trade deadline.

  14. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Only 9 NHL teams are on track for 96pts or better as of today.

  15. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

Brad Marchand has 13 goals in his last 13 games. He has the most goals in the NHL since January 16.

  16. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Since Christmas, the Ducks are 17-4-2, best in the NHL. Only 4pts behind LA

  17. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

Artemi Panarin is the first Blackhawks rookie with 20+ goals since Kris Versteeg in 2008-09 (22).

  18. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

Zdeno Chara has been on the ice for the past 9 consecutive goals the Bruins have given up.
The Bruins are 10-5-1 in their last 16 yet they've lost 7 straight games to teams currently in the playoffs.
the EC is such garbage this year that they Bruins could win the Atlantic. and they still don't employ NHL defensemen and on the whole they stink.

  19. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Lee "been on almost every team" Stempniak has more points than Forsberg, Pacioretty, Kessel, Saad, Monahan, and dozens of other "good" wings in scoring roles.

The Buffalo Sabres have 55 points after shutting out CBJ. Why is this a FUN stat?

It's before the deadline and they have more points than all last season.
