I am a diehard Sabres fan, (I guess all Sabres fans are diehards these days), I have been pulling for them from the start. Lately I find it hard to to Sabres sites. If one has the temerity to speak up against the unsportsmanship the clubs come out. Meanwhile, the team has actually been entertaining. Buffalo has some youngsters starting to produce. Johan Larsson now looks like an NHLer, and Mikael Grigorenko may yet become one. This is all lost on those who are fixated on the tank. What should be a happy thing for me, (the team is virtually assured of a top-two pick), has instead become a drain. I'll get over it, but I want non-Buffalo fans to remember this sordid display. The team is actually too good for this mob of losers.
Although the Pittsburgh PengCAN'Twins are the top wildcard team in the east, they have lost 4 games in a row. They have scored first in each of these 4 games.
There are currently 30 teams in the NHL. This year, not surprisingly, the Toronto Maple Leafs have given up the most short-handed goals (12). Guess who's number 2. Need a clue? Do-bee-do-bee-do... (10) f*cking shortys! Plus one more tonight. Let's go bracket fodder Penz!!! You fuggin jagoffs.
if the br00nz get at least a point tomorrow, a new record for futility will be set by someone. as of now, the most points ever earned in a season without making the playoffs is 95.
I'm not sure what this means, but since scoring has been pretty consistent in recent years, I'm inclined to believe Gary and the minions are digging this.
nucks helped out this year by giving up the first goal in 30 out of the last 45 games. what a godawful stat to begin the playoffs.
Dumbarses scored first yesterday. I became a committed Canuck fan when I saw the truculent one celebrating.
in tonight's wings - lightning game, there are fifteen players who faced each other in the calder cup finals 2 years ago.
later they said it was 9 wings and 6 lightning. i could probably name the wings, but the tampa guys would take a bit of work.
Filip Forsberg scored more goals last night than Martin Erat did in his entire Capitals career spanning 66 games.
Armpittsburgh...you're the breast!!! http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2015/04/20/Media/NHL-RSNs.aspx The Pitt market has the highest ratings or highest % of tv households watching the game.
