Well the Colts and Rams both have a signing each left. Been sniped savage late. Good thing we had 9 choices each earlier.

    EVAN WILLIAMS S OREGON

  3. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

Patriots sign James Cahoon, QB, Bridgewater State University

I have 1 for the Jags. I was gonna sign JD for the Eagles and Joe for the Jags but oh well. I didn't really look past my short list lol.

I considered sniping Jefferson from Pittsburgh, because the Rams almost took him 7th round anyway. But I didn't wanna be that guy.

Between that and Andy's Edge snipage, the Rams are running out of prospects.

Jags sign Cole Burgess, WR - SUNY Courtland

  7. Torgo M.V.P. Manager Falcons

The list held up reasonably well. Only 2 truck-stumpers in the 7th and 3 in UDFAs so far (the 2 small school QBs plus someone that I will be signing myself but haven't named yet).

I'm also thrilled with how it turned out in the spreadsheet. The display actually works (!) and all the taken players are consolidated in one full list on the Big Board tab to help with the spreadsheet for the Challenge.

I just went with Cole, someone I drafted last draft as my late-round flyer.

@ovfd55 - just in case you didn't know, you can name a second UDFA. @Dcat - I'm guessing you're just rebuilding your board since your choice got drafted as a late announcement. Pick anytime.

UDFAs and remaining picks can be made anytime until 9pm Eastern tomorrow (Tuesday). At that point Joe and/or RT will fill in the blanks with auto-picks for any missing draft picks or UDFAs so that we will have a full grid to use for the Draft Value Challenge.

The thread to play the Draft Value Challenge is here:

    2024 Draft Value Challenge

Also... last year I did some other idiotic random challenges during the real draft. Joe says he'd like for me to bring one of them back this year.

So here it is... you simply pick four numbers 1-32. Your score is the combined Scrabble score for the four players taken at the pick numbers that you chose, based on how the names are spelled in the Big Board page of the spreadsheet, including "Jr" or "III" or whatever.

That's it. You can try to reason it out and guess who goes when and pick accordingly, or you can just choose four otherwise random numbers from 1 to 32.

Meant to change that. I keep pairing him and Bertrand in my head.

    R.I.P.
AJ Simon. He is the 2nd prospect on our board alphabetically.
He died last week and I just noticed he was listed. I just took him off so no one accidentally signs or drafts him.

Great! I put him in as pick #239.

BAL (@neanderthal ike ) still has two open draft picks and can select 2 UDFAs
DAL (@Roadblock ) still has two open draft picks and can select 2 UDFAs
NO and GB (@MaroonTyphoon ) each have one open draft pick and can each select 2 UDFAs

Everyone else... if you haven't selected two undrafted free agents yet, you can. Check the "Big Board" tab of the spreadsheet to see who is still available. The UDFA picks are also listed on the Participants tab.

You have until 9pm Eastern Tuesday to make any remaining draft and UDFA selections. At that point, someone will auto-pick them for you in order to complete the grid for the Draft Value Challenge.

Thank you everyone for participating in this year's final mock draft !

    Indianapolis

    Colts

1.15 Laiatu Latu, DE / UCLA
2.14 Tyler Nubin, FS / Minnesota
3.18 Jalen McMillan, WR / Washington
    4.17 Beaux Limmer, C / Arkansas
5.16 Decamerion Richardson, CB / Mississippi St.
6.15 Aaron Casey, LB / Indiana
    6.16 Kenny Logan Jr, S / Kentucky
7.14 Keilan Robinson, RB / Texas
7.15 Evan Anderson, DT / FAU
UDFA Dalton Tucker, OL / Marshall
UDFA Darius Muasau, LB / UCLA

The Colts are at a pivotal point. We have our QB of the future, a #1 WR, a star RB, good OL, elite DT and LB, and some emerging players at DB and Edge. We need to find playmakers and keep rounding the edges of the roster. Took a double shot at the pass D early in this draft with an elite pass-rusher and cerebral center field Safety in rounds 1 & 2.
Added McMillan in round 3 as a productive WR with good size and athletic measurables who brings some inside/outside versatility for the offense.
After that I mostly looked for value among 4-5 positions that could use further competition or an improved plan B in case of injury. I loved landing Aaron Casey and Evan Anderson. In my opinion two under-appreciated players getting no buzz that I think can play meaningful snaps down the road. Keilan Robinson was a fun add as an explosive complementary RB who can double as a kick returner.

    Los Angeles
    Rams

    1.19 Xavier Worthy - WR - Texas
    2.20 Javon Bullard - S - Georgia
    3.19 Trevin Wallace - LB - Kentucky
    3.35 McKinnley Jackson - NT - Texas A&M
4.21 Jalyx Hunt - EDGE - Houston Christian
    6.14 Qwan'tez Stiggers - CB - Argonauts
6.20 Keith Randolph Jr. - DL - Illinois
    6.33 Tyrice Knight - LB - UTEP
    7.4 Jase McClellan - RB - Alabama
    7.18 Kingsley Eguakun - OL - Florida
    UDFA Tory Taylor - P - Iowa
UDFA Nick Samac - OL - Michigan State

Head Coach is an offensive guru. But they just lost a Hall-of-Fame defensive player. Plus their LB group was...not good. So I spent the bulk of this draft trying to build up a strong defense. Added versatility at Safety, physicality and instincts at Linebacker, and a good amount of beef on the Defensive line. Also added depth for the CB, RB, and IOL groups, plus our Punter of the future. Oh yeah, and one hyper-athlete at Edge, who will take some time but might be a quality contributor down the line.

Houston signs Treyton Welch, TE, Wyoming
    (stumps the truck)

Pretty good measureables for a TE (4.63, 7.13 cone, 4.25 shuttle, 10'3" broad jump) but his pro day isn't what I'm after. I want him because he's a rock solid BLOCKER who helped lead the way for Xazavian Valladay and Titus Swen to have 1000-yard rushing seasons.

He's not Brock Bowers, but he's a legit tight end (31 receptions, 308 yards this season), and he's a better fullback than most college fullbacks.

Seattle signs Kalen DeLoach, LB, Florida State

He's one of those "tweener" types. I love them, and I'm sure Seattle can find a use for him as a core special teams player, nickel package linebacker or even nickel or dime back. I'm just glad to grab him before Dan Quinn got him.

Seattle signs Tarheeb Still, CB, Maryland

This is who I would have drafted at 253 if I didn't trade the pick... twice.

True developmental corner - and he's still only 21 years old, which almost seems weird as we wrap up the era of the "super senior". Good but not elite speed, adequate size but still filling out his frame, versatile but needs polish on his technique.
