Presumably no Conner this week, who’s my flex?

    Aaron Jones
    Derrick Henry
    Chris Carson

And Chris Godwin or Dante Pettis for WR3?

    Leaning Jones and Pettis

Henry has the best match up as Carson and Jones are facing tough defenses

I agree with Pettis, but after what Chicago just did to Todd Gurley, I'd go with either of the other two over Jones...

Henry, Carson,Jones - that would be my order

My opponent is starting Jones over Justin Jackson. I waited until just after the opening kick on Thursday night to tell him I thought that was a mistake....

I guess we'll see. Jackson was worth 17 on TNF. I'd be surprised if Jones eclipses that against the Bears.

we split, but the one with the money i won to go back to the finals i won last year. now i lost pat lindsey from denver with the same injury i had 4 years ago with a scaphoid break. now i didn't have ligament damage but know the pain he's in. so im loading up on any FA worth a damn for the finals. last year i added some backup RB from cincy who had a monster finale game in 2017. help win me the title. he had like 2-3 tds. wow. hope i can win again. $400 winner take all.

good luck to anyone still in the finals this week.

I was in 15 leagues this season (would have been 16 but I'll cover that in a moment) all but 1 are done and here is how it went

    136-63-1 over all
    13-12 in the playoffs
Was the #1 seed in 4 leagues and the #2 in 2
went to playoffs in 13 of the 15
was the highest scoring team in 5
was 2nd highest scoring in 4

    finished as champion in 4
    had 5 third place finishes

    Top 3 regular season finishes
    13-1
    12-1
    11-2

    Bottom 3 finishes
    4-10
    6-7-1
    7-6 (in 2 leagues)

Oddly enough if I had earned all 2 seeds instead of 1s I would have won championships in 2 more leagues but that is how the cookie crumbles. I was in a 16th league but apparently on CBS if an owner deletes his team at any point during the season the fold the entire league. I was 3-0 in the league when some idiot decided to bail.

Strategy in multiple leagues the last 2 years has been try and get as many of the same players as possible either through draft, auction, free agency or trade. Why because it gets maddening wishing for player A to score 15.4 points in one league but for him to not score 15.5 in another league. Now this doesnt mean I pick up a lower ranked player in one league to replace a higher ranked player. Overall it works well as long as the guys you have pan out when they dont of course its a disaster.

Play in 16 leagues a year and you will learn damn fast on your own.

Probably true. Im in about 8, but havnt been doing this very long. I do pay real close attention to online help and a couple of people here on L4SN. Tim's data has been very useful also.

Personally I find it easier to do well if you keep it at less than 5 leagues.
It’s hard to pay close enough attention to succeed if you’re trying to do 7 things at once.

I kinda have pay leagues and some free leagues, which is why I have at least 8.

I don’t blame you, or anyone else. To each their own. But these days I just find it too hard to keep up. Forget the fact I have a six month old. Just a full time job, games Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (early Sunday/London), and Monday. Plus commitments to family, friends, and a certain degree of personal hygiene...I just can’t find the time to set lineups in 6+ leagues. I think in the future I will be in 3-4 football leagues, and zero leagues for any other sport. That’s roughly where my comfort level (and enthusiasm) is falling. I don’t know how you guys manage in 8+ leagues.

Key #1 is know your league. Not only scoring rules but league size makes a difference to. For example in a 14 player league you need to hit on sleepers but in an 8 team league you don't need to reach as much. In leagues you play with the same people every year it helps to know their tendencies ( if you can remember them). Reason being if you know a guy is a big Browns fan and one if your sleepers is on the Browns you may have to draft him a round or two earlier than originally targeted. Now just cause some one is a huge fan of a team doesn't always mean they will draft players from their team. While it's hard to do sometimes knowing what other teams have drafted can help you too (not just who but what positions). No matter how many drafts or have done in the past know that the no two drafts will go the same (even if it all the same people and even if its the same draft order). Always and I mean always check injury updates before and during your draft. The number of people drafting guys who are out for the year is amazing. I don't mean the kind where a guy has a good chance to come back late in the year and give your team a playoff boost I'm talking a guy you know isn't stepping in the field that season (in a dynasty league you may take a guy who isn't going to step on the field for what he can do for you in the future). In auction leagues have a top dollar you are willing to spend. Once a player goes for more let him go.
