Definitely, after 10 years of commitment, that would be quite a commemoration. We could probably find SOMEWHERE in an epicenter of all our lives... We should take a count of who is where and map it out since we have a little time on our hands.. I'm obviously Ohio, USA
i'm having my 38th sacramento fantasy draft later this year. when we first started it was pencil and paper, reading the scoring stats in the newspaper and then faxing the tallies out. oh my god was there errors every week. it use to be a high priced game with mostly lobbyists and silent legislature bigwigs. private draft rooms with big breasted servers. this year it will have 4 teams in different states on a conference call. geriatric attrition. i remember one year rob riddick was chosen first overall. talk about prepared. there wasn't fantasy magazines, websites, etc. one lobbyist brought in eddie labaron who was released from Atlanta's gm duties. great dude, nice guy, but they lost their arse every year. i love fantasy football, this will be fun.
Wow, you've got me beat by a long shot...I started playing in 1989, but that original league only lasted about 10 years...I am currently in one league that's been together since 1999 and another that was started in 2004.. That league back in 1989, I was commish and bought USA Today every Monday and Tuesday to do the scoring by hand as well. I was so excited in 1992, I bought my first home PC and bought a program for about $50, It took me about 4 hours to set up the league each year, then every Monday and Tuesday, I had to DIAL into their server and download the stats, took about 35-40 minutes, then the program sorted everything...I thought I was in heaven, lol.
FYI - The times are listed in Pacific Time... so the 3 pm draft on the 26th is actually 6pm et in the East.
i have plans for that weekend. i will cut my weekend short to draft, but if peeps don't sign up and i lose a biatch day I'd kinda be pissed. some peeps need to shit or get off the pot. sign up or let others play. seriously tim, this needs to get set in stone!
Jason says he's in and mutigers tweeted that he was going to find the invite in his email last night. That leaves SPress and if he does not sign up I have 2 more people waiting to go. I'm going to contact everyone again today and see where we stand.
For those of you that were interested in adding a flex position, there is no option to add a flex for defense, only offense. If we want to add this position we will need to switch to another fantasy football site to host the league.
Sorry it took me so long to join, I'm in now. I've been really busy this month but should be settling down now.
Tim, is it possible to have an offensive flex only and not worry about the D side? If so, that would be my vote.
We could, but my vote would be no. It will unbalance the rosters and that plays into how people will handle their bench and potentially affect trading.
I can't update divisions until everyone registers. Each time a player joins I have to make adjustments.
SPress has yet to verify. I have 2 people on a waiting list so everything is locked up at this point. I will be starting a thread with the official rules later tonight.
