Both conferences have the 3 best records in the same division. Might change soon in my conference since everyone else in Jason's division seems to be tanking. lol
INACTIVITY RULE - ONLY WARNING Any team with a player that is designated out before 11pm Friday night in their starting line-up will be considered an illegal roster according to the inactivity rule. Any team with a player that is on their bye week that is still in their starting line-up will be considered to have an illegal roster according to the inactivity rule. Any team with a player that is on the IR in their starting line-up will be considered to have an illegal roster according to the inactivity rule. THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY WARNING If any team is found in violation of the inactivity rule from this day on for the rest of the season they will lose their first round pick this off-season. If an owner puts in a second illegal line-up after that they will be removed from this league permanently. I'm not dictating moves and it says in the rule that you can still have players out so long as you are notifying someone ahead of time. Look, we had an owner do this twice now in what is a clear attempt to tank for the first overall pick. If anything Irish, this rule is in place to help people like you from getting screwed along with other owners that are seeing wins given to teams in their own division by someone putting together a roster with multiple players out. This rule has nothing to do with questionable players and I am not looking for reasons to have people lose picks or get kicked out of the league. It's simple - there will no longer be line-ups in this league where teams are starting players on IR, starting players on bye weeks or having line-ups with multiple players that are listed as 'OUT' before the weekend hits in an effort to lose games. It's the kind of shit that ruins leagues.
As for Thursday night Joe, there's not a lot that can be done about it. There's just not enough days in the week to set a timetable for that one.
I was one of the bad boys this week leaving Cutler in on Thursday night and I think it's fair to take a hard line. Inactivity effects the entire division. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. Sorry fellas.
I agree with weeding out inactivity...I am only saying that there are circumstances that would dictate having a guy in the lineup that may be ruled out for the week..as well as a guy on a bye. What if next year you have a week where half your roster is on a bye? In a Dynasty league you shouldn't have to drop guys you want on your roster and put them at risk of being picked up, just so you don't have a starting lineup without a bye player in it. I also understand there are circumstances that will be taken into consideration according to the rules listed on L4SN...however, the latest "rule" listed on the message board at Fleaflicker was stated MUCH differently to the actual rules here. It was contradictory to how it is stated here. I just wanted clarification is all and it seems we have it. I want an active league just as much as any other competitive owner does. I know my team sucks right now, but I am putting in a lineup each week to be competitive, I shouldn't be punished because both of my DBs (neither of which do I want to drop, or replace another roster player with a 4th DB) are not active this week. That's all I was saying. As long as these situations are going to be considered, then I'm good with it.
I linked the rule in the FleaFlicker message for some added clarification but I see where the confusion on it can be had. This is something that we can continue to work out details on and mold into something that works in a simple fashion for everyone involved. And with that, the floor is open for any suggestions.
Having 6 players in your starting lineup that are either on IR, on the bye or listed as ‘OUT’ will get my attention.
I thinks it's been 2 weeks for him. Not sure if it was a good lineup last week though. I know that when you suck you lose the motivation to fix your lineup but you gotta keep on it.
You can consider this his third. I emailed him to fix it the first time. The positive is that it opens this to discussion so we can come to an agreement on how to shape a rule to avoid this in the future.
You could keep a tally of missed points that should for sure have been included in case points will matter in draft order tiebreakers. And You can't really make an active team lose but if it causes a loss we may have to consider the loss counting as a win or draw for purposes of draft pick order.
I don’t think that is a feasible fix. I understand the thinking but I’m not prepared to take on that much additional maintenance considering how little free time I currently have.
That’s fine, but I meant what I posted. If spicy outright dumps another game in the same manner he loses his first round pick.
I'm just saying he should be on top of it ... for now. So it's not just ignored emails and messages if it happens again.
Why all the uproar about my 3rd win of the season. I really want the ability to work my line-up on Sunday morning. Friday at midnight is not good for me.
