I have not, and was not inferring anything with you having an agenda, just to get that out there. *DRINK* And there is nothing to clear up. We don't place values on players for trading purposes and the only reason to reject a trade would be suspicion of collusion or if an owner went rogue before he left the league and dumped his roster. You think I paid a high price for Thomas because of Treadwell coming from Kickass. I could have simply traded for Treadwell. I didn't want him, we disagree on his value. I did want Thomas. We disagree on his value. I didn't trade for Treadwell, I traded for Thomas and the players I submitted to the trade were the payment to make it happen. It looks weird to you. To me it's simple mathematics. Langford, a pair of defenders and a drop back of 5 picks with my 3rd to acquire Michael Thomas.
I am thoroughly enjoying the arms race that is happening in the American conference. Being this is the first off-season for this league I really didn't know what to expect. I gotta say I like how everyone is making moves and beefing up rosters for year 2.
It is very interesting. My last trade was actually in the works since before the draft but it never developed. We had something at the draft but couldn't agree so instead we made a last minute trade involving only the #11 overall pick. We kept talking but nothing but then he wanted Cutler and we finally found a deal that worked.
I had to think long and hard about that one Joe, but in the end it made sense. I looked at this year's draft and Hunter Henry was my 2nd round draft pick...So, it only made sense that I use a 2nd rounder to get a TE that has actually proven himself in the NFL. Now, I think I went from a position of weakness to that of strength overall. Anyone want Jason Whitten, send me an offer.
lol, yeah I found that ironic also...could have probably just included Barnidge in the trade to begin with.
I didn't have him then. I wouldn't have traded him if I didn't grab a couple other guys in FA afterwards. That's why I hesitated on the trade.
best news of the day, gronk has issues (bennett 4 sale). worst news of the day rankins with a broken leg. sheldon, you can sit on reggie ragland's lap.
Tim. How are we going to move players to the practice squad? Will we have a 2016 thread on FleaFlicker for that? Thanks, Confused... again.
That's my fault Will. It's something that I meant to clarify awhile back and it slipped my mind. I'll be opening up the 2 IR spots on Wednesday August 31 (one week before the PS deadline) so that players can be designated there for the PS.
Those are our 2 IR spots. We removed the injury IR spot and increased the active roster from 30 to 31 so that the IR can be solely used for the PS.
Right now there is only 1 IR spot and it is set to accept only players that are actually designated IR. I set it that way pre-draft so that no one could accidentally use it as an artificial roster spot and have more than 40 players.
Good data guy's. I just want to be able to get my 2 PS guys in the right position in the right time. Thanks for the clarification. Aug, 31st it is...
I just had an inkling that Christine Michael would become somewhat significant lol. Not that I would have had room for him anyways but Tim with his Seahawks RBs was all over it.
I made yet another trade. Very minor. Kendricks is considered one of the lower end TEs but he has a bit more value for me than most people due to Tyler Higbee so I gave up Donnell. Some may notice the significance of the pick swap. I wonder if SPress did.
Got bored and looked at scheds. I don't get many bye breaks in my matchups and of course key opponents get them vs me. lol
OK, time to make some tough decision cutting down my roster...So, I have some offers...let me know who wants a couple of these so my decision will be easier. If anyone thinks these offers are off...go back and look at our draft. I have placed each player a round lower than I think they would have actually gone in this years draft based on information we have TODAY. James Starks RB GB (4) 4th rounder Darron Sproles RB PHI (4) 4th rounder Travis Benjamin WR SD (11) 2nd rounder Pierre Garcon WR WAS (9) 3rd rounder Markus Wheaton WR PIT (8) 2nd rounder Victor Cruz WR NYG (8) 6th rounder Crockett Gillmore TE BAL (8) 6th rounder Jordan Cameron TE MIA (8) 3rd rounder Malcolm Jenkins DB PHI (4) 2nd rounder Micah Hyde DB GB (4) 5th rounder For the right deal, I might trade TWO for ONE draft pick OR an upgrade at RB...depending on the pair and the pick.
