I'll check the settings to see if there is anything that I can change but when we added a new owner it screwed up the pick order from last season. We might be better off referencing the draft thread here and going by PM.
Truth's Trash Talkers gets Travis Kelce TE KC 2016 8th round pick ANED gets Glover Quin DB DET Clive Walford TE OAK 2016 4th round pick
Would it be possible for everyone to come together on a Monday and Tuesday night? We could do 5 rounds each night.
july 18th and 19th apparently is not my wedding anniversary. looks open after 4:30 on the west coast.
The 18th and 19th work for me as long as it is not too late EST. 6-8 EST start time is ideal for me. I definitely could not start at like 10 EST.
I think we should go with the two day approach. Five rounds each evening, starting at 6pm. Day 1 - July 18th Day 2 - July 19th //**IMPORTANT NOTICE**// Being that this is an open forum draft you will either need to be present, provide one of the commissioners with a list or provide one of the commissioners with a website that you prefer for dynasty draft rankings. If you have not checked into the draft thread before you go on the clock your pick will be immediately made either following your instructions or by the discretion of the commissioners. If you have checked in and you go on the clock you will have a maximum of 5 minutes to make your pick (starting from the last pick time stamp). Everyone please try to be prepared and do your homework so that we can have a smooth and enjoyable draft night! If these dates or times do not work for you and you would like to suggest another date/time, please do so as soon as possible so that we can get things ready to roll for the 2016 fantasy season.
Can the commish grant extensions if a pick actually has dialog for a trade, not just a guy asking, but both sending a notice to the commish. 5 mins is a bit short if there is a serious talk. Maybe another 5 if trade talk is confirmed.
I think that can be done, but I suggest that all potential trades have no more than a two minute extension. Otherwise we will run into issues with regards to time. I'd like to get some input from my co-commissioners on this matter.
Im kinda leaning towards the 2 minute extension. I think all serious trade talks and offers ought to be happening before a GM is on the clock. I open for more input also and will think this through a little more... I understand as the picks take place it changes GM's strategy's, but 2 minutes on the clock extended should be enough. Its a good question tho.
I agree with this. If you get a chance Joe, please send RT a text so that we can have him post his opinion on this.
If we max out the 5 minutes a pick it would put us at an hour per round. If we cut that time in half we are still looking at a probable 3 hours for 5 rounds on a weeknight. I know a minute more does not seem like a big deal but I am expecting a lot of people to try and make moves in the first two rounds. Keeping the clock turning and the pressure on just a bit may not be a bad thing. However, this is the first time for all of us having a 'live' draft in the forums so it may not be a bad idea to include the extra minute to keep things easier to post for the parties involved in the trades. I'm willing to defer on this if RT and Will come to an agreement. Another thing I would like to incorporate is a brief break (under 5 minutes) at the end of each round so that I can update the draft thread with picks made. This way I am not forced to focus on keeping things updated and I will still have the ability to concentrate on the draft.
Most definitely... point well taken. Concentrating on the 2 things is going to be harry to begin with.
I am okay with the 2 minute extension. In dynasty I don't think there should be much talk outside of round 1. Only so many spots on the roster...
