So that includes putting your IR back on the active roster as well? Correct? So, in reality, 3 players need to be cut?

  2. Campbell Administrator Manager Commissioner

Correct, if you have a player that is currently on IR you would need to cut 3 players in order to get down to the mandatory 30.

In order for my team to hang onto Keenan Allen at the end of the season I will need to move him to the active roster.

11 each from Decker and McFadden. I'll take it. Especially when it looked like Decker may have been leaving the game early with negative points.

I benched Ted Guinn - he gets 2 touches and 20 fpts.

I bench Bridgewater - best game of his career, 40+ftps.

Woodhead had 3 TDs and he was my 3rd option... off the bench. Rodgers probably killed my season. He can't throw a TD near the goalline for the life of him and then when they should run it he throw a pick. I also got robbed a Kick Return TD for the Broncos because the Broncos offense thought the play was dead and came onto the field. Illegal Substitution. It's like the opposite of the Stanford Band.

Well it looks like the matchups won't be a problem unless Jason gets 75+ points from Brees, Hightower and Ansah OR Nate gets 38+ points from Calvin Johnson (likely 4 TDs). Not insurmountable margins but career or near-career days needed. If it wasn't for the matchup likely being high scoring I wouldn't give it any chance.

i sat woodhead bc sd's rushing is a total guess. rodgers killed me on 3 teams. i lost all 3 semi-final games bc of him yesterday. thanks.

I sad woodhead toohe hadnt done anything in weeks lol scored 32 in my league and I would have a healthy 39 point lead right now with him having hightower to go instead I have a 7 point lead and Ameer (who I would have sat for woodhead) vs Hightower.

well gordon got taken out of the game so that opened the door for woodhead.

i had 2 negative scores as balt pulled buck allen for fumbling and danny amendola got hurt. both got pulled in the first quarter. thanks dicks.

Woodhead was getting scores before Gordon was taken out. He still would have had a pretty good day.

true but what he did with 4 was insane. in some leagues where scoring is different, he had over 60 pts by himself. insane afternoon. watch next week he does nothing. haha.

Interesting to note that the best record so far is 9-4 and the worst is 4-9 with everyone else in-between. I think thats signifies a highly competitive bunch we were.

I only now noticed that fumble recoveries aren't worth anything. I say for next year we make those worth 1 point for a defensive player. Also I think offensive players should be able to get points for a forced fumble on the rare case they force one after a turnover of their own.

At the beginning of the season, I brought up the issue of Fumble Recoveries. Only Forced Fumbles were points-worthy and I strongly disagreed. A Forced Fumble is NOT necessarily a turnover, but a Recovered Fumble (by the defense) is. For that matter, ANYONE who recovers a fumble should get points, whether its an offense or defense player. Recovering a fumble either maintains that player's team possession or changed the possession from offense to the opposing defense. Technically, a Recovered Fumble is a bigger accomplishment than a Forced Fumble. Defensively, a Recovered Fumble is just as valuable as an INT. Maybe even more so, due to the location of the event. Most fumbles occur near the line of scrimmage, where an INT typically happens 20 yards or more downfield.

I disagree on one thing frank. For fantasy purposes I think a forced fumble is more important than a recovered one as far as physical accomplishments go. Making the strip is a more worthy accomplishment than being at the right place at the right time for a recovery.

It is currently at -1 for every fumble (whether it is lost or not?) so I think it should be -1 point per fumble lost OR -1 point per fumble and 1 for a recovery (by anyone on either team).

    Forced Fumble Scenario 1:
RB fumbles the ball at the 50 yd line due to a DEF player's hit. The ball bounces around and ends up 20 yards downfield in the direction the offense was going. An OFF player recovers the ball. Offense retains possession, with a 20 yard gain, 1st down and 10 at the opponents 30-yd line. Where is the benefit for the defender that caused the strip to earn a point? It looks like a BIG play gain to me.

The Recovery is the important part of this event. If the DEF recovers, it should be considered as important as an INT. Even if the offense recovers it, it should be worth some points as well. That player kept the possession alive. Although I think the Recovery is worth more than the FF, I'll agree to make them equal in points just to keep the Recovery on the table as a points gaining category.

I get that the recovery is what makes the turnover but the strip is the true skill that should be more individually rewarded imo.

  18. LAOJoe Assistant Coach Manager Patreon Silver Maple Leafs Eagles

In the current format if a guy fumbles and recovers his own fumble it is still -1. That is weird.

Well it's all but official so...
