Keeping it simple, I like this option now better than option 2. I think it would be a good idea to either contact FF or maybe if we have to jump ship, But as of now i would prefer option 1. I dont really know how user friendly this FF site is, but having some adjustments to fit our needs is necessary. I would love to see a 'flex' spot too and keeping things Divisional and Conference based like the NFL does would be ideal. _______________________________________________ Long story short... Im for keeping it the way it aligned now until we can determine if FF will make adjustments. If they claim they cant we should look into other web-site options. ________________________________________________ (long live the Dynasty League)
Ok, FF got back to me on what exactly the issue is and how to correct it for next season. Turns out it's a common mistake with a lot of first time 12 team or more league owners and something that is preventable if we set the bracket and the playoff type up right. Since this is correctable I see no reason to go with option #1 as it has the potential to see 2 teams from the same conference face off for the league championship. For Joe, Jason, Nate and myself we will set our line-ups like we are playing the correct match-ups - Dork Dynasty vs Bloody Beavers TigerStyle vs Appalachian Fishers Our live scores are easily tracked through the scoreboard.
As a team involved I don't really care much, but we did name rules prior to the season and changing rules mid year is sticky. If all 4 of us playing are cool wth it then I don't have a problem, but ideally I would play Tim and not Joe. If we can't get it fixed I say we just let it play out and then score me against Tim and Joe against Dork. The site will do the scoring for us and we know who's supposed to play who so it won't be hard.
This is great news. So we have a few bugs this season, but it will get straightened out and next season should be smoother. PS - Yes, Im already looking forward to next season. In the meantime, good luck to all. Im going all out to win that runner-up, consolation thingy. lol.
It seems there was another set of edits made via commish tools yesterday. I bet one FF admin fixed the F up and then another didn't get the memo it was taken care of and fixed it back to f'ed up. *CRAZY* *WALL*
Well either way we might be stuck with it now. In the original email they said it would be a one time fix so I'll try them again and see what happens. This is one of those things ten years from now - "You remember that first season when the playoff settings were all dicked up?"
OK, so as soon as the Championship is decided, is the practice squad then open for adjustments, so that we don't lose the players we want to keep?
At the end of the season immediately following the championship game through to the Monday of the week following week 17 you will cut whatever players are on your practice squad. If you wish to retain your practice squad players they must become part of your active 30 prior to 11pm of the Monday following week 17. http://live4sportnetwork.com/forumlist/viewtopic.php?pid=318609#p318609 All you will need to do is cut two players/positions from your roster to get down to the 30. You can also continue to utilize free agency right up until the deadline. At that time FA will close until immediately following the draft. Trading will remain open throughout the season and there will be a thread dedicated to the trading block here on the forums. Anyone that does not cut there roster back to the mandatory 30 will have it cut back for them at the deadline.
