Joe, I understand what you are saying. All I'm saying is we have certain tie-breakers in place for what decides playoff entry. The current draft order is in line with those. If we change so that we go by points for the top 6 there is potential for a bottom 6 guy with less points to be left out creating a separate issue, points holding more weight. Right now the tie-breakers are uniform throughout. If we change them to be points based for the draft then people will also have a legitimate gripe for not using them regardless of record for the draft. Or using them to decide divisions winner. Or using them for seeding. I would prefer to keep it equal all the way around. When we have more people jump into the discussion we can look at some more possibilities.
As long as it was discussed. And hey Will my side of the examples would have kept you with the #1 pick. So I guess Tim hates you
I was gonna post an emo rock video but I don't hate you that much. Maybe Tim does but he needs to act nice.
I'm with Will on it being a pain to keep up with things not on the website. With PS updates being for certain weeks I'm going to miss it 100% of the time without being reminded. With work and all the traveling I do it the fall it's not easy to keep up with these things.
i'd like to thank my rb's for an abysmal season, was totally outginned (ted) by that qb from carolina, good luck in the next round tiger fan.
Possibly important issue needs to be settled ASAP. Assuming RT and Jason tie it will go to bench points. But should the 1 point from Jason's PS player count. Are they technically on the bench. From what we had going it seems the PS is another thing entirely but it just has to show on the bench in the system. It probably won't come to it but that 1 point could be the difference.
Thankful for the bye. With the lineup I would have set I'd have 100 points with Suh still to play. I'd have lost for sure.
Missed the discussion on PS points earlier. PS points do not count for the tie-breaker because they are not part of your active roster.
I was nervous up until Hopkins didn't do much last night. Looks like its over now though. Nice game, and nice season. My 2 cents even though Tim has already ruled on the topic, but a PS player isn't a bench player, he's inactive.
In an interesting twist of things... Apparently we can only adjust the initial seeding for the WC round and cannot make any changes after the first week of the playoffs. As of right now the Bloody Beavers will face TigerStyle and Dork Dynasty will take on the Appalachian Fishers.
There are only 2 solutions to this I can come up with as of right now. 1.) This will be the format from now on with the potential for non-conference match-ups after the first round. 2.) We score the games individually regardless of opponent from here on out. I would like to get some input from everybody as quickly as possible so that we can get things lined up accordingly. My initial thoughts on option 1 - It decides which teams out of the wildcard round advance from within their own conference and it still guarantees that the top 2 teams in the league will not face each other until the championship if they make it past the second round. The downside is one conference potentially being out of the championship game all-together. Thoughts on option 2 - We would not be able to see the head to head scoring in the box but it does still track your point totals for every game. Rosters still lock at game time for teams that are not 'playing' so we would not have to worry about someone messing with their line-up. Option 2 is in the spirit of the league and maybe something that we have to deal with until we find either another site that let's us set the league according to conferences and not divisions or until FF makes an adjustment on their side.
