Truth's new Practice Squad: QB Jimmy Garoppolo (same) DL Jason Pierre-Paul I'm dropping Hitchens as soon as I can, my current defensive PS guy. That's all good right Tim? If I understand the rules correctly... *HIGH*
Yes, and if Hitchens were to clear waivers you could technically resign him to your regular roster. Anytime a practice squad player is released he goes through the normal waivers process and can be signed by any team, including the franchise that he was originally cut from. If anyone needs clarification on this please ask and I will further explain.
Makes sense. I'd assume any player traded back to you that was in your PS when first traded away by you would be deemed ineligible to start if it's the same PS window when you get him back... unless he was cut and went through waivers. Also just curious more than anything but what if you trade a PS player away and then the guy immediately releases him and then you claim him back off waivers right away? Just want all the bases covered for any possible scenarios before they happen.
You are correct with the trading scenario. If the player has not gone through waivers he cannot be activated to your regular roster. As long as the player goes through the waiver process he's eligible to be on your active squad.
Okay and one thing hanging you didn't address in the last post. If the first trade happened week 3 and the 2nd where you get him back happened sometime after we could swap our PS players does that make the player eligible even though he never went through waivers since by then you aren't circumventing the PS process?
You might have to clarify this farther but let me see if I can get this sorted out for you. You have a player on the PS that you trade away in week 3 for another player. Then in week 6 you are trading to get the original player back? Being that you are trading for a player, regardless of if he is on the other teams PS or not, he can be immediately placed on your active roster.
So if they happened during week 6 and 8, which is during the same time a guy would have to stay on PS on your team?
smoke and mirrors gave me a win to get to 2-0. my team has more hurt players than i know what to do with. still could see my team go 2-15.
I know it's early but anybody not feeling that this is their season and wish to build on the future. I'm looking for a #2 RB all Lamar Miller is, is a deuce of a RB. We swap Taxi Squad guys next week, Tim? Sims may just be my second best back at this point.
After week 5 (before week6) and after week 10 (before week 11) are the open windows for activating PS players.
Got the W hoping my opponent wouldn't get active and take out Gronk for Ebron. Wouldn't have mattered anyways as he got injured early.
