A little info on todays game. It was Cabrera's first game off this season. He played in the previous 86 games. Thats impressive.

In part from our pals at mlive: Its cool he found this now and has the rest of the season to show us what he can do. If this holds up, it will take an enormous weight of the shoulders of the Tigers to have him go out and get the job done. Coolness.
...and I was worried they wernt going to have any runs left in them after their outburst against the Dodgers.
Friday 7/11 8:10pm Anibal Sanchez (R) @ Royals - Danny Duffy (L) 1. Austin Jackson (R) CF 2. Ian Kinsler (R) 2B 3. Miguel Cabrera (R) 1B 4. J.D. Martinez (R) RF 5. Torii Hunter (R) DH 6. I have a ton of catching up to do here. I see your still at it Will. theres 3 things you can count on in life - death, taxes and Will having that lineup card ready as soon as its available. I was going on the local sports channel websites lately to get my lineups but thats about to change
http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/sto...r-dies-dead-obit-tigers-indian?eadid=outbrain I started watching the Tigers in 1977 so I never watched Veryzer play for Detroit. When the Tigers I watched as a youngster start to pass, I will feel old!
man this guy is really impressive. his K's for whatever reason are non existent lately but the wins arent and thats all that matters. Theres a compelling argument that can be made that Anibal is the ace of the staff. What a bargain hes turned out to be. Hes the real deal without a doubt and very underrated
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/det...md=20140712&content_id=84314086&vkey=news_det I have to keep reminding myself that Suarez is a rookie. After the injury to Jose Iglesias and definitely after the play of Andrew Romine, I thought the Tigers were going to be short at short for the season. Now I have a much better feeling about shortstop. Btw does anyone think that Jose Igelsias will be a Tiger in 2015?
the real compliment to suarez came from the royals broadcast crew. it's one thing when your own people say good things about a play u made, but when the other guys say it, it means that much more. lol @ kinsler tho
????? I dont follow. Hes arguably the best defensive SS in the league and can hit a little too. I dont see him going anywhere anytime soon. No way in hell even when he becomes a free agent do I let him walk. Suarez is a nice little story but Iglesias is the long term solution and a keeper in every sense of the word to me
I pretty much agree when he is on the field. However, Igelsias is oft injured. And when he is not on the field, he is doing nothing for the Tigers. I am glad that Suarez is getting playing time. Perhaps he becomes the day-to-day shortstop. Or perhaps he shows promise but as time goes on underperforms. I don't know the future but I do know who is on the field.
theres such a small sample size for his career I think its premature to say hes oft injured and considering he played through injury all of last season Id say thats a pretty damn good year on 2 bad twigs. I am glad Suarez has been pretty solid, his minor league career wasnt anything to write home about but hes filled in admirably. That being said anything is better than Romine, hes at best a AAA player. he does nothing well and......he does nothing well
I think he's given every opportunity, Jose Igelsias that is, to keep his job next year. My concern now is, how healthy will he be and will the problem he has be an ongoing thing? Seems to me to be an odd condition for someone so young. Hope he pulls through.
