kalinka is a thing of beauty. the original: the rhododendron: the rose: the dahlia: and the most beautiful of all: Spoiler it was not easy to find a suitable picture of this one - but it was worth the effort
Tigers 5, Athletics 4: Rajai Davis hits walk-off grand slam to give Detroit dramatic win over A's. The Tigers' victory came on the same night the franchise celebrated the 30th anniversary of the 1984 World Series championship team. Nick Castellanos reached with an infield single to start the ninth against A's closer Sean Doolittle. Alex Avila followed with a single before Eugenio Suarez struck out on three pitches. Austin Jackson then drew a walk, the second issued by Doolittle this season, to load the bases. Davis then hit a 1-0 pitch from Doolittle over the wall in left field to give the Tigers the win. Miguel Cabrera also homered for the Tigers. (mlive)

ffs, after they did nothing in the 8th, i turned it off to watch the prisoner: behind the scenes. i think the sensational job in relief by the Hut was a major factor. *WALL*
I'll be honest. I fell a sleep and woke to thunder at 3:30am. I too missed one hell of a finsh. DAMMIT JIM!!!
I have Rick on my fantasy team. I can't remember ever seeing a complete game shutout pitched without a walk or strikeout. Rick is turning into the pitcher we all thought he could.
He sure is. Nobody at the start of the season would have thought Porcello was going to be this productive...good for him and the Tigers. The no strikeouts thing is strange indeed. I believe during the game it was said to have not been done since Don Gullickson did it in the 80's with the Tigers. I had Porcello on a fantasy team and offed him some time back. I've made many transactions that blow up in my face. I'm currently losing to a guy who started Porcello and racked up a gazillion points. I dump players and then get hammered by them later...bad habit of mine.

Tigers looking to sweep this afternoon. That should really be a confidence builder. 2 to 2, top of the 4th.
Break out the brooms. Tigers - 9, A's - 3. Held the #1 offense in the AL to just 7 runs in this series. Verlander looked great. 47-34 exactly half way through. Time to beat up some Rays!
