lol. Good thing they are in the Central. I guess if a major portion of the team is in a funk its possible for them all to break out of it soon too. This is one strange thing happening with the Tigers. I havnt seen anything like it considering the talent they have. Its nearly comical to watch the beat writers go crazy too. A few days ago Verlander was taking the heat and then yesterday its, 'whats wrong with Scherzer'? Today the attention was on Cabrera and his recent lack of production. When it finally goes full circle, it will all boil down to...shiitt happens! They'll be alright soon.

Joe Nathan strikes out the side in the 9th. Fantastic performance by Sanchez. Tigers win, 2-1. The crowd was really good today and pretty jacked up in the 9th...that beats the recent boo birds. I'm not a big boo bird fan.
I dont think so, lol. It all came together today as far as the pitching goes. A great way to help ease the pain and get the long road trip started on a good note. As a half-assed musician, I appreciate good notes.

Joe Nathan with another save. Tigers win it 6-4. Good night for Porcello. Maybe tomorrow they will show a re-run of the Martinez and Martinez show.
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2014_06_20_detmlb_clemlb_1&mode=recap_away&c_id=det Back in 1st place in the division but also in a precarious place. Time for the Tigers to show what they are made of.
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/det...md=20140620&content_id=80742230&vkey=news_det I know that this is the first season under new coaches but Justin Verlander has plenty of history to review so needed adjustments may be made. Justin Verlander is the "ACE" of the staff so this needs to get this turned around in a hurry.
If you are not voting to get Tigers into the All-Star game, here is how to get voting. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2014/ballot.jsp?tcid=ASG14_generic_trending Note: Voting ends at 11:59 PM ET Thursday, July 3, 2014.
http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/76108760/v33824279/legends-of-the-diamond-morris-on-84-teammates Ahhh...the good old days. Brad we need to make some new "good old days."
Thanks for all the recaps and info, ml. Good stuff to read. I'm concerned its more than just his mechanics or his mentality or the inability to locate as Ausmus and many others have mentioned. I have a hunch its injury related, possibly linked to his off-season surgery. The subject must be taboo to talk about because no one has come out and said differently or even brought it up. I dont understand how JV couldnt make the necessary adjustments in location to compensate for the diminished velocity. Many pitchers with less than half a brain have been able to do that, yet JV continues to struggle. He's not as fast as he was, so he needs to locate better. I dont understand why he cant, thats why i just feel its more of an injury type thing, or a lingering issue from earlier. It would be nice if it was all in his head, because there's a cure for that. If its something in the physical department, that spells big, big trouble. He could possibly have a secret girlfriend too...he sure is pitching like it. Verlander goes tonight. I hope he does well, gets some early run support, relaxes and has fun. A win tonight would be good medicine.
