Luke Pukonen placed on the 15 day DL with a sore elbow. Andy Dirks moved to the 60 day DL. Tigers purchase the contract and call up JD Martinez from Toledo.

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/gametracker/recap/MLB_20140422_CHW@DET I just hate it when the opposing manager comes out to the mound when the Tigers are pitching and signals to bring in Phil Coke (sarcasm). *WALL* Seriously why is Coke still pitching? Put him on the DL...with those stats nobody would question it!
I was watching the hockey game and had the Tigers up on the computer. It was 8-2, late. I glance back at the computer and I see Coke is coming in, so Im thinking he's due to get the job done right. Just a few moments later, I glance back at the screen and see its 8-6, I could not believe my eyes. He has had way enough chances to get it right and he's just not capable anymore. They must do something about it right now. Not next week or month, but, right now. He must be sent to Toledo for awhile and get straightened out, either his mechanics, or his head, or both, just aint right...he needs a break anyway you cut it. I do believe the Tigers have a few options already in place, they just need to pull the trigger and get it done. They probably have a plan b in place, they were just waiting for the right time. I think last nights, Coke performance, just sped up the process. Im guessing something gets done today. They didnt waist anytime with Gonzalez, did they? Coke is a likable guy with talent, just needs to visit the Toledo zoo, or Tony Packo's for a while.

Thanks, mlmeng. Good article. They have to try something. Bullpen not to the rescue again last night. Tigers fall 6-4.

the hut gets credit for a hold? when u give up 2 runs in an inning, the only thing u should get credit for is a bad outing..
