Tigers win it. They beat the Tribe 7-5. Verlander pitches 5 innings and gets the win to go along with 7 K's. Joe Nathan breezed through the 9th and picked up his second save.

I like this move. Curious to see who gets sent down, but the Tigers are showing their going to be aggressive in decision making.
James Schmehl wrote in his article on mlive... In other words...starters need to stay out there as long as they can. Gotta figure out a way to beat these guy's tonight.

James Schmehl, mlive... I love this move, btw. Worth has been hitting the cover off the ball. Glad he's getting this break.
The Iglesias injury did put the Tigers into a bad situation. However, when the Tigers acquired Alex Gonzalez in exchange for Steve Lombardozzi, I saw this as a "knee-jerk" reaction. I send the "love this move." Now the Tigers can explore a more long term solution.
Tigers at 3-2 on this home stand, and tonight the Chicago White Sox come into town for four straight. Cabrera struck out twice and grounded into an inning ending double play on Sunday, this is the worst slump I can remember him going through. I hope he finds his way against Chicago pitching. You just know he's going to start ripping the cover off the ball soon and maybe if your going to go through a slump, better now than later. Its cool hitters like V-Mart and others are picking up the slack a bit.
