I'm hearing that too will. That's sucks I wanted him.back in the setup role. He's not a closer but did an admirable job last year.....until the playoffs. I wish him well and he will be missed
Tigers are front-runners in the persuit of outfielder Rajai Davis. Davis has hit .268 with a .693 OPS with four teams in eight seasons in the majors and has 268 career stolen bases. He has spent a good portion of his career batting in the leadoff spot.

Well, that didnt take long. Mr.D signed Davis, so the Tigers have their 4th outfielder. Thats what Mr.D wanted to accomplish during the winter meetings, and he gets it done right away. I think its a decent signing...the Tigers can now go with the hot bat in left field and make more lineup changes when its neccessary. Looks like Jackson may have some early on competion in the Spring for the leadoff job. I like the idea of having a couple of players you can plug in the lineup when needed, especially the table setters. I still would like to know who is going to be the everday hitter behind Cabrera...any thoughts Tigers fans?
This is the first real burner weve had since nook Logan. Only difference is Davis can play in the field. Good stuff Will
Tigers showing some interest in outfielder Matt Kemp and relief pitcher Joba Chamberlain. I can only suspect their just testing the waters. Kemp has a monster contract.
With the signing of Davis I don't see the Tigers being serious about Kemp. And due to injury concerns, I would let Chamberlain go to Arizona for $3million. The Tigers are "close" and have a good chance to make it to the World Series next year.
I cant say Im real excited over the Chamberland signing, but I do hope for the best and that he has his greatest season ever. Coke has had better numbers than Chamberland, but Joba has been injured. If he's 100% healthy, he could be a great benefit to have in the pen.
That bullpen looks completely different...which was a necessity after last season. It would have been great to get Benoit back seeing as how he knows Comerica and outside of the Red Sox series, was as money as the Tigers have seen in a long time. And that includes Taco Grande's perfect save season). Now hopefully Al can get back to form as he was shaky for most of last season. I believe that the Tiger's bullpen will be determined on his arm. If he can be that lights out pitcher that can get up towards 13-14 K/9, and not give up the big hit; the bullpen will feed off of that.
That would be fantastic. He has great stuff when he's on his game...nearly unhittable stuff. Definitely need him to get it going. I think, if i remember correctly, he had some injury issues and never was really quite the same after. I hope a brand new season brings good results.
Danny Worth has been designated for assignment, in other words, cut from the Tigers. The move had to be made to make room for Joba Chamberland on the roster...that, and the aquisition of Lambordozzi, put the squeeze on Worth.
It looks like the teams interested in Ervin Santana are down to the Detroit Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks. According to the article in the link http://www.blessyouboys.com/2013/12...ntana-market-down-to-tigers-and-diamondbacks, perhaps the reason for the Santana interest is that any Max Schrezer contract extension was ruled out by Max Scherzer / Scott Boras.
Sorry about that Cutter. There was an extraneous comma. Try this one. http://www.blessyouboys.com/2013/12...antana-market-down-to-tigers-and-diamondbacks
