It was a great 1 2 combo, and it really worked out well having the likes of a Sanchez and Mr. Fister in there as well. I sure hope Scherzer gets resigned by the Tigers. It would be nice if they could afford him, and Omar for second base, and a closer. The potential to take the Central again would be fantastic.
I heard reports that if anyone would be interested in Fielder, the Tigers are listening. I just wish we had the Prince that could hit consistently, and not blow a goat come playoffs time.
man i just saw pix of miggy as a marlin...man he was skinny! really skinny! he must like the food in detroit. lol
K dont sit by the phone Dave because it wont ring but I have to ask are you serious Will? where did you hear this? Im suprised that got out
or he was 19, when I was 19 I was a rail. Im the same height as Miggy but I only weighed like 175. Im 220(more like 230) but I packed it on when I was in college. I was a beanpole for a long time and I think Miggy was the same way. Hes a beast now literally and figuratively
Probably doesnt mean much, but this is what I saw. http://www.mlive.com/tigers/index.ssf/2013/11/report_detroit_tigers_would_li_1.html
well I hope they can make something happen with that. Id be shocked if they did though. that would free up the money to retain Scherzer and maybe Sanchez. Both I want to stay way more than Fielder. Whos takes the chance on Prince though? pirates could use a mashing first baseman but their always counting their pennies. ditto for the Rays. Yanks have the dough but have to get Cano resigned and they have that terd Tiexiera at first along with fellow terds Overbay and Youkilis. again if he gets moved I will be totally shocked
I hope that Max's agent (Scott Boras) is really listening. As an agent though, he would never admit it.
I think thats a good play by Max. its a win-win either way. Boras only cares about Boras and how much he can pocket so Im sure that will fall on deaf ears. but he also has a very good relationship with D Brow going back to two highly paid and over the hill players in Maggs and Pudge. I think he'll make an effort somewhat with the Tigs but hes looking to get the max(no pun intended). Id love if he stayed here but Im also realistic, this is Scherzers big and maybe only chance at a huge payday. I hope he stays but wont be the slightest bit suprised if Boras's greedy ass talks him into walking
Joe Nathan, courted by Torii Hunter, calls Detroit Tigers 'very appealing and attractive'. Last season, as the Texas Rangers' closer, Nathan was 6-2 with a 1.39 ERA and converted 43 of 46 save opportunities.
Wally Ball? Of course I can't pick on him too much, both of us have the same birthday (different year).
