I especially like our chances against any lineup that has Semen and Dunn in it ....aaaaand here comes the Phlagley
Sanchez leads the American League with a 2.50 ERA, well ahead of the rest of the pack, including Yu Darvish (2.84) and Max Scherzer (3.01).
Get Verlander on track, the Tigers will be sitting pretty. What a game last night. Wished I would have stayed awake for the whole thing. Damn.

Prince Fielder with a 2-run blast, #24, and he now has 101RBI. 3-1, Tigers. Cleveland won earlier today.
Verlander and the Tigers get the win, 6-3. "It seems like the whole year has been tinkering," Verlander said. "I feel like the last three starts, I've found what I really need to be working on and focusing on." Im glad JV is starting to feel more comfortable on the mound and regaining his command of pitches. Good game for the Tigers.
for 20 mill in the middle of Sept Fielder should have atleast 30. Batting behind Miggy 35+. IMO hes floated a lot this year. Hes one of those guys that as big as he is he can not give 100% and still put up decent numbers. His ribbie totals are inflated from the lineup hes in. He made a big stink about not getting paid in Milwaukee, I hope now that he did get paid he doesnt do this the rest of his contract. I like Fielder just like his dad but he takes too many days off, alas Fedorov
Well, he has probably been pressing a bit too much at times, and he really wasnt focusing with the divorce stuff going on, but once the divorce stuff came out, he's been hitting much better. Still, as a professional he should learn how to leave things at home, Jim Price was commenting along those lines also. I think he will be better now. At best I hope he's got it going come playoff time. I like the guy, he just seems to be a little streaky. He got the big hit for Verlander and has managed to stay healthy.

He's actually not a streaky hitter. He's been remarkably consistent. That's what bothers me. I like him too like I said I just think he's given away too many at bats this year. He plagued behind juice boy Braun who isn't have as good as his fake body says he is and always did well. Now he's got one of the beat hitters ever in front of him. He's got the ability to put up MVP numbers but hasn't here. Very frustrating

Scherzer cruzing. Struck out 9 of the last 11 Royals, 12 K's overall. But he's still in trouble because the Tigers are not taking advantage of their opportunity's i.e. runners on 2nd and 3rd, nobody out, and they dont score. Damn, 20 has been very tough to for him to get.
A wild pitch by Smyly allows the game to be tied. Unbelievable. No #20 for Scherzer today. Pitched his brains out too.
