hmmm ,interesting lineup. Id put Dirks in for Matt and bat him 2nd but Im not a MLB coach. watch Tuie will go 4-4. and wheres Avila? Id also like to add Swidher to guys I hate on that team. 14-3 tribe, just remember 14-3. we have your number figuratively and literally
Need a big game out of Prince tonight. The other subs in the lineup have hit Kazmir really well. I dont know whats up with Avila, I hope he's not feeling it again. Concussion junk can really lingure.
Sundays Lineups: Miggy still not in: 1. Michael Bourn (L) CF 2. Nick Swisher (S) 1B 3. Jason Kipnis (L) 2B 4. Carlos Santana (S) C Salazar (1-2) 5. Michael Brantley (L) LF 6. Asdrubal Cabrera (S) SS 7. Jason Kubel (L) DH 8. Mike Aviles (R) 3B 9. Drew Stubbs (R) RF 1. Andy Dirks (L) LF 2. Jose Iglesias (R) SS 3. Torii Hunter (R) RF 4. Ramon Santiago (S) 3B[/*] Verlander is due for a win and Kelly is in ='s VICTORY! Omar is on fire with the bat. Oh...I see AA is back too...coolness.
Dirks leading off = big game for him. Salazar has control problems, theyve plagued him even in the minors. If the Tigs can be patient theyll do well. last time Dirks led off he went 4-4. really miss not having Cabby in, hes so fun just to watch. Prince needs a big game too.be nice to see Avila get over the mendoza line
The Tigers recalled Octavio Dotel from his Minor League rehab assignment, but will not activate him from the disabled list. The forearm tightness that forced him out of Friday's game at Triple-A Toledo is a season-ending injury, if not worse
the fat lady may be getting ready....thats not cool, Dbrow has always been a big fan and so have I. hes has electric movement on his pitches and has had a real nice career. I dont use the electric refernce very often, I know it when I see it though. when your 4 seamer dances then you got it. he also alters his delivery which is huge. Jose Contreras and El Duque were great at that. thats a huge advantage to the pitcher. throw scouting reports on guys like that out the window.he couldve been a real asset down the stretch. I think he may be toast
Verlander reached back for a couple of 99-mph fastballs late in the game yesterday. I thought that was a real good sign. I want so desperately to say, he's back! I think he's going to be just fine. He's probably getting pissed at everyone being on his case lately. He figures things out come playoff time...watch out.
well there goes the Don Kelly theory. Benoit with some rare mistakes last night. JV was great yesterday, I still think its something mental. funny, the guys having a very solid season by any standards yet hes set the bar so high were all wondering whats wrong with him if his ERA get over 1.50 and he doesnt have two no hitters by August. hes been a little snakebit by some poor run producing games by the Tigers and some shaky bullpen work also
lol...exactly, thats a good point. Like you said about Miggy, a JV struggling a little is still better than just about anybody else out there. Yep...Benoit couldnt stay perfect forever. Its gotta be tough as a pitcher, going out there and knowing you cant make one little mistake because your team isnt hitting, especially against a solid hitting ball club that was definitely due to final get one. I heard Coke is coming back for the playoffs. I hope his little stint in Toledo did him some good. Ive seen guys get sent down for awhile to work on machanics, and then come back up real strong. I hope thats the case with Coke. Gotta have a solid bullpen to succeed in the playoff run imo.
