Tigers all over the Rangers 6-0 and the Angels providing absolutely no help to Detroit. Cleveland leads Los Angeles (Angels) by score the last 4 runs to take a 5-4 lead. Why is it (seemingly) that the only time the Angels play championship caliber baseball is against the Tigers?

Boston did their job! They defeated the Indians by a 3-2 score. Now it is time for Detroit to do their job!
Tigers lose a tough one by a final score of 3-1 to the Royals. Detroit squanders an all too rare opportunity to gain on the AL Leading Indians. *WALL*

The Royals are last in the AL in a bunch of offensive stats, but score well against Detroit. Makes no sense. Tigers better win the next one.
DETROIT (AP) ? Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera left a game against the Kansas City Royals with a left biceps strain. In the first inning Monday, pitcher Daniel Norris threw wildly to first and Cabrera collided with Cheslor Cuthbert while trying to catch the errant throw. He didn't show any immediate signs of distress but was grimacing during both of his at-bats. He flew out to deep center field in the fourth, still looking uncomfortable, and was replaced at first base by Jarrod Saltalamacchia for the fifth. Cabrera is hitting .310 this season with 27 homers and 77 RBIs. The Tigers said Cabrera is day-to-day.
