Tigers take it to the Astros - winning by an 11-0 score. Tigers score 6 of those runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and never look back. Now that is the kind of game I like to see. Too bad that it is such a rare occurrence. Miggy and McCann each had 4 RBIs. In McCann's case, it was a grand slam.

DETROIT -- The Tigers stretched their season-high winning streak to seven games by stretching out one extra-base hit after another against the White Sox. Triples from Andrew Romine and Cameron Maybin fueled a six-run fifth inning before Miguel Cabrera's two-run homer put away an 11-5 victory Tuesday night at Comerica Park. The win, combined with an Indians loss to the Twins, moved the Tigers within three games of the Tribe in the American League Central. Detroit moved 10 games over .500 for the first time since the end of the 2014 season. Cabrera's third home run in two games was an opposite-field loft off Matt Albers for his 24th homer of the season, six more than last year and one shy of his 2014 total. He went 3-for-5. Victor Martinez added his 18th homer of the season with an eighth-inning solo shot.
