Justin Verlander pitched well enough for the win and left with the lead. Unfortunately the Tigers bull pen could not hold on. Good news is that the Cleveland Indians lost as well.

Miggy hit a buck 40 for the series too. Im glad its the break. They and I need one, lol.

That is a real good question. From Rotowire: If Sanchez is going to continue to pitch like this, once he gets to the bullpen, keep on walking.
I looked at Sanchez's numbers and they are much better coming out of the Pen. As a starter its totally ridiculous. He needs to stay in the Pen, if anywhere. His only good pitch is his fastball and everybody know's it. He sure has took a turn for the worst in a short period of time. Hope he has a better second half. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tigers are fortunate to be 6.5 games back at the break. Get some pitchers back... who knows, maybe they make a run.
They would need to make a run to qualify for the post season as they are only 3 games over 0.500. Boston, Toronto, and Houston have better records than the Tigers at this point in time.
