Tigers got off to n 8 run lead. Right now the score is 8-2. No way should the Tigers lose this game at home against a struggling Twins team.
You have got to be kidding me. I just got in, read your post and was stoked. Just turned on the game and couldnt believe my ears. I totally agree with you too, ML. They cant blow this game... its ridiculous and embarrassing.
Tigers pull out the victory after the Twins managed to tie the game. A couple of late inning home runs by Castellanos (homered to left center) and Martinez (homered to left). Is it just me, or does it seem like the light has finally come on for Castellanos? It seems like he seeing every at bat batter, and his defense has seemingly improved as well.
Truly a bright spot on the club. He's been amazing so far. To think there were people clamoring for him to be traded or replaced... now he's another JD Martinez. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Looks like another slugfest on tap for tonight. Pelfrey vs Hughes. Tigers owe Pelfrey some offense and some help... gotta get this a guy a W.
Brad Ausmus suspended for tonight's game. Gene Lamont will manage. MLB took him out for not wearing an official jersey during last nights ballgame... lol

Tigers win 7-2 against the Twins and inch closer to the .500 mark. AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL TEAM W L PCT. GB Chi. White Sox 24 14 .632 - Cleveland 19 17 .528 4 Kansas City 18 19 .486 5? Detroit 18 21 .462 6? Minnesota 10 28 .263 14
The Tigers have to take advantage of the long home stand and they must beat up on these teams their playing. At least I think that would be ideal.
The Detroit Tigers exploded for seven runs in the seventh inning Tuesday for their third straight win, beating the Minnesota Twins 7-2 before 27,652 at Comerica Park. The Tigers (18-21), who were without suspended manager Brad Ausmus, batted around the lineup in the inning while totaling eight hits. The surge was highlighted by back-to-back home runs from Ian Kinsler and J.D. Martinez. The outburst came after Minnesota starter Phil Hughes largely shut down the Detroit offense, limiting the Tigers to one run on three hits and retiring 13 straight hitters at one point. Mike Pelfrey surrendered two runs in 5 1/3 innings, but received another no-decision for the Tigers. He is now winless in his last 16 starts. The series finale is 1:10 p.m. Wednesday at Comerica Park. (Mlive)
