Tigers get dumped by Red Sox, 7-2. ______________________ __________ Jose Iglesias shoves James McCann in Tigers' dugout during heated argument The Tigers lost to the Red Sox on Friday (BOS 7, DET 2), but the big story of the night does not involve anything that happened on the field. It's about what happened in the Detroit dugout. In the sixth inning, television cameras caught catcher James McCann and shortstop Jose Iglesias in a heated argument in the dugout. Iglesias then put two hands on McCann's chest and shoved him. It appears the whole situation started in the top of the inning, when Iglesias got a poor jump on a ground ball that turned into a single. The next batter smoked a two-run double. McCann gestured toward the field before Iglesias shoved him in the dugout. Both McCann and Iglesias remained in the game, as did Anthony Gose, who also said something to Iglesias in the dugout. Although there were no details given on Friday, this won't be brushed under the rug. Stuff like this has a tendency to linger. "I think it shows that they care," Ausmus said. He wouldn't elaborate on what the disagreement between Jose Iglesias and James McCann was.

i have seen 2 tigers championships in my life. to me, the first will always be the more fun. in 68, i was much younger and baseball was still a perfect sport to me. one of the things that's gone now was the concept of a team. tis was pretty much before the free-agent floodgates opened. those guys were tigers. they had to fight to win the pennant and they had a hell of a fight against the cards, with a pretty unlikely hero, mickey lolich. but one thing that absolutely kicked ass about the 84 team was the bullpen. our starters were good - damn solid - but they weren't great.but when sparky's computer program (one of the things that really turned me away from baseball, i know why they do it, but i missed mayo smith's seat of the pants "W4TF, i'll play stanley at shortstop" style) told him it was time to pull the starter, we just got better. that latin bullpen kicked ass and took names. what happened to the days when seeing the tiger manager come to the mound to pull the starter wasn't a reason for automatic despair?
With Gate 'Gator' Brown and Willie Horton on the team, they were probably pretty good at fighting, lol. Your right tho, they really were a scrappy team that litterally clawed their way to the top in spite of the odds. Good point. This year has bordered, embarrassing. Oh hell yes. That was one deep team... im trying to think of a real weakness and cant, lol.

who needs one, I got plenty if Avila is worth a shit he'll get rid of Ausmus. this whole Iglesias thing was really bad, that doesnt happen with Leyland. hes really lost this team I think and his management of the bullpen and mid game subs are terrible. If you cant figure out when to sub a guy in the AMerican League thats pretty bad. Ive also had it with running Simon out there every 5th day and Krol sucks my ball sac. how many times you gonna send that terd down. the guy has NO movement on his pitches, he doesnt belong on a ML roster. Im a big Iglesias fan but that crap the other noght was ridiculous, McCann shouldve maybe called him out in the clubhouse but still you dont act like a 8th grader. curious to see how this plays out. my opinion of Jose has changed for the worse
