Or, as the optimist said; 'The rallying call' JD Martinez is the clean up guy and he is hitting a bunch of HR's, so he might be a good sub, well, as good as one could be. __________________________________________________ Tigers looking for a pitcher too and the staff, i believe, have been sent a message... perform or Toledo. Its amazing what some positive motivation can go. ________________________________________________ Kinsler just got hit... Tigers are getting beaned at a crazy rate lately... they may explode shortly.
He came up in 2009 (drafted) from Cuba by the Houston Astros, hence Ausmus thought he might work out and because of the familularity with him gave him a chance with the Tigers and the rest is history. He just keeps getting better at the plate. Wiki says he was drafted 611th, so i guess not a lot of people had faith in this guy... so good move by Houston and Ausmus.
Late night action in the Pacific NorthWest. 10pm et start. Tigers Alfredo Simon (R) @ Mariners Hisashi Iwakuma (R)
I refuse to accept the fact that I wont see Miggy for 6 weeks, therefore I have no comment on the matter. I will say that when reality sets in I think Alex Avila would make an excellent replacement for him at 1B

This will mark the seventh consecutive year the Tigers will have at least three representatives in an All-Star game. JD Martinez makes it. From a Astros throw-away to the MLB All-Star game in 1 year. JD = Just Dingers!
