That's promising to see. He is definitely needed back in the rotation and I cannot wait to see the ovation he gets in Detroit.

  6. Collins ahead of Martinez? must be because hes a lefty

  7. sounds like Rondon sucked it up last night, this guy is frustrating the hell out of me.Ive been waiting 3 years to see what this kid with a cannon for an arm can do. this guy is more brittle than Mikael Samuelsson.....ok maybe not that bad but hes not too far from needing his implants checked

I think Collins gets that spot because of the lefty thing and he hit a HR and is just a part of the ongoing guess work by Ausmus. ;)

Rondon is a puzzling guy. Better find his control, asap.

  10. Will what does the red or blue mean on the players names? is that changes to an original lineup card?

Tigers win their 2nd straight, 6-4 over the White Sox. Great pitching by Simon.

1 more win and they have something called a winning streak. Haven't seen one since the middle of May. Not acceptable for the amount of talent this team has.

  17. I like it

Tigers and Cubs tonight at 7.

Jon Lester goes against Anibal Sanchez.

  19. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

    Opponent: Chicago Cubs
    Site: Comerica Park
Records: Tigers (30-28, 3rd in AL Central); Cubs (30-25, 3rd in NL Central)

    Schedule
Tuesday: RHP Anibal Sanchez (3-7, 5.69 ERA) vs. LHP Jon Lester (4-4, 3.86 ERA), 7:08 p.m., FSD
Wednesday: RHP Shane Greene (4-5, 5.40 ERA) vs. RHP Jake Arrieta (5-4, 3.04 ERA), 7:08 p.m., FSD

Scouting the Cubs: This will mark the Cubs' first trip to an American League ballpark in the 2015 season. Manager Joe Maddon hasn't revealed who he plans to use as designated hitter, but catcher Miguel Montero has 25 at-bats at DH, which leads the club. Cubs ace Jon Lester will open the brief interleague series in Detroit while trying to rebound from a rough start last Wednesday when he gave up six runs and nine hits in five innings in a loss to the Miami Marlins. Miguel Cabrera, who extended his on-base streak to 26 games on Sunday, is 14 for 27 in his career against Lester, and Rajai Davis has hit .293 (12 for 41) with two doubles, two triples and a home run off the left-hander. In a somewhat surprising move, Maddon recently demoted closer Hector Rondon and has elected to use a closer by committee, which features Rondon, Jason Motte and Pedro Strop. Outfielder Chris Denorfia (left hamstring strain) was activated from the disabled list Sunday, and will likely be available off the bench this week. Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has a 12-game hitting streak, longest of his career.

  20. I knew Sanchez had some rough outings but I didnt think his ERA was that high, hes perplexing to me. he has way to good of stuff to be there, I hope hes not hurt. looking forward to this matchup, the only team I hate more than the Cubs is the Twins. I hope they kick their asses!! our pitching matchups look a little shaky, Arrieta is the real deal
