I read Avila got hit in the mask so hard his ear was bleeding. He took a pretty serious shot. He's been feeling light-headed and nauseous. That doesnt sound very encouraging or minor to me...but, Im no doctor. Just hope he recovers quickly, for his sake. He sure gets beat up alot back there. More than any catcher I can recall. Mister Fister vs. Sale, tonight.
Omar is back...Here's the lineups: 1. Austin Jackson (R) CF 2. Torii Hunter (R) RF 3. Miguel Cabrera (R) 3B 4. Prince Fielder (L) 1B 5. Victor Martinez (S) DH 6. Matt Tuiasosopo (R) LF 7. Omar Infante (R) 2B 8. Brayan Pena (S) C 9. Jose Iglesias (R) SS 1. Alejandro De Aza (L) LF 2. Gordon Beckham (R) 2B 3. Alexei Ramirez (R) SS 4. Adam Dunn (L) DH 5. Paul Konerko (R) 1B 6. Avisail Garcia (R) RF 7. Jeff Keppinger (R) 3B 8. Jordan Danks (L) CF 9. Josh Phegley (R) C[/*]
Cool beans Infante is in. Man I have this bad feeling Garcia will make us regret moving him but we needed a ss. He'll have some good ribbie opps batting behind those guys. I'm a big Foster fan. He's very underrated, he has borderline ace stuff IMO just like Sanchez. Go Twigs!!!!
Tigers go down 6-2, still up 6 1/2 on Kansas City. Scherzer vs Santiago tonight. Max going for #18. Avila resting at home.
Amboy was good stuff no argument there. not liking what Im hearing about Avila, we really need him. I heard something the other day that Torii Hunter has only walked twice since June 23. havent looked at his OBP but his average is good so maybe its a moot point *DONT_KNOW*
Torii has only walked 18 times on the entire season...he likes to swing away. He's hitting .308 and his OBP is .338, thats not too bad. He must see a ton of good pitches to hit , batting in front of Cabrera, that must be alot of fun.
Todays lineups, with Max on the hill, going for #18: 1. Austin Jackson (R) CF 2. Torii Hunter (R) RF 3. Miguel Cabrera (R) 3B 4. Prince Fielder (L) 1B 5. Victor Martinez (S) DH 6. Matt Tuiasosopo (R) LF 7. Omar Infante (R) 2B 8. Brayan Pena (S) C 9. Jose Iglesias (R) SS 1. Alejandro De Aza (L) LF 2. Gordon Beckham (R) 2B 3. Alexei Ramirez (R) SS 4. Adam Dunn (L) DH 5. Paul Konerko (R) 1B 6. Avisail Garcia (R) RF 7. Jeff Keppinger (R) 3B 8. Jordan Danks (L) CF 9. Josh Phegley (R) C[/*]
Solid game for Garcia. Garcia had two hits, drove in his first two runs with Chicago and scored two, including the winner. Tigers fall 4-3 in extras. Omar had a good night...3 hits.
